I am about 2 hours from you. I am right below Charlotte, NC. No scary moments at all with the surgery. I had a great Doctor that took great care and I recovered within a week. I was on liquids for two weeks and lost 17 pounds in those two weeks. Then mushies for another two weeks and then off to regular Protein foods. Then I was able to start on veggies and fruit. I have lost 50 pounds so far but at a stand still right now because I am not eating the protein like I should. I really need to get back on track. You are going to do just fine. I know of a friend in our charlotte group THe best Me that is on this site went to Mexico and had a good experience there. Are you getting excited about this? I bet you are. I am so glad I did it. I feel so much better now that I am lighter and have more energy. If you dont mind me asking how much would you like to lose? I want another 50 gone. I hope to do it but not sure. We shall see. I have lost half of it now need to get working on the rest. lol Angie

Hey Babyjane, I am from the upstate of South Carolina as well. Near the Clover area? PB is a productive burp and it isnt fun. You need to make sure you chew chew chew your food so you dont get anything stuck. This has happened to me once and I dont want it to happen again. I named my band Chilly Dog because I can't eat one ever again. I will never have a chilly dog hit my stomach so I will have one wrapped around it for the rest of my life. lol That is funny... hehe

I started out at 226 and I am now down to 176. Weight loss has stopped and it is killing me!!! I need to get back on the band wagon and work harder. Good to you on the rest of your weight loss adventure. Angie

I am going through the same thing at the moment. My husband and I are seeking counseling and start on Monday. He refused and refused but now has finally said Yes to go. I am happy that he did and hopefully we will straighten things out. Keep hope and know that there are others going throught the same thing. If you ever want to talk please PM me. I would/need someone to talk to about this as well. It's tough, hard, and quite frankly sad that we have to go through this after losing so much and feeling better about ourselves. I feel selfish saying that but its the truth. You would think the men in our lives would be star struck to see their woman lose so much and look so much better and feel so much better for themselves. I love him still but things have to change. Angie

:peace: Absolutely... You made me smile thanks Kathy. The hubby and I went out last night and watched a movie. V for Vendetta. It was actually pretty good. And get this I got on the back of the motorcycle with him. I was so scared!!!! We needed a night out like that and it helped I am sure. I have been scared to get on the back of that bike and finally did it to make him happy. So hopefully he saw that and it helped him a little as well. I hope everyone gets feeling better. Thank you girls, I knew I get trust in you all to up lift my spirit and make me feel better. Things have been rocky for a while and hard to deal with. That time I was late to the Restaurant well We had a pretty bad argument before I came. I needed to get out of the house so I went ahead and came up. Thanks to Kim for calling so I could scoot. I love him with all my heart and soul and I know we will make this happen and will be happy again. We just need to have a third party in here to help. Thanks again for all your support. I am happy to hear your port is flipped back. That is awesome. Hopefully that doesnt happen to you again. Well Girls, things arent going so well on my end here. Hubby and I are having troubles and are seeking counseling. It is and has been hard now since I started losing the weight. He feels like we are growing apart and that I am losing this weight and wanting to be on my own or with someone else. That is far from the truth girls. I feel so bad. I love him so so much. We have been together as a couple for 19 years. I started dating him when I was 15 years old. We have a wonderful foundation and love for one another. Hopefully this helps us and helps us get back to where we were. Also in the struggles in the Bond household, his Mom has found out she has Breast Cancer. Then on Tuesday she fell and broke her hip. She had emergency surgery and is doing fine but... they think the cancer has spread to her bones because you dont break a hip that easily. This is hard to deal with right now especially with what we are going through. I am constantly in tears and afraid of what will happen with her and with our relationship. We need to make this work for our childrens sake as well. They are the ones I need to protect the most and I will. Please pray for us and pray that things will get better with us and with his Mom. I am so scared. :think Angie

Believe me I love being busy with my kids. I wasn't complaining one bit. They are my pride and joy and we had a wonderful time this weekend. They are so fun. It was so beautiful outside I couldnt stay in. Before, when I was heavy, I didnt want to go out because I would be so out of breath I couldnt stand it. Yesterday, I almost cried because I was having the time of my life playing with my children outside, running, skipping, jumping on the trampoline, and shooting some hoops. I got a bit emotional but know one else saw it. I just wanted to let you all know. Also, I had my very first PB! OMG! That thing about killed me. lol This is the first time I have thrown up since I got the band. I was eating some pork and guess I didnt chew good enough and it got stuck. It wouldnt go down, it wouldnt come up. I finally had to make a gag reflex to make it come up. That slime stuff is nasty. You couldnt swallow and it was coming out like mad. EWWW!!! It wasnt fun at all. I guess I know now what my restriction is and I better chew properly or it will happen again. Kathy girl you need to get them things checked out. That has got to be a pain in the a$$. Kim, good luck on your surgery this week. Sorry your port has flipped. Karen, I hope you hear something soon on a date. Hello everyone! I'm alive, I'm alive! Woot! Yeah I have been running around like a chicken with her head cut off. I have my oldest in softball and my younger two in soccer. So we are definately a busy household right now. Sorry I havent been hanging around and posting. I have checked in a couple of times but didnt have time to respond. Things are going ok with eating but exercising has stopped again since I hvae been busy. But I am moving so much it is crazy. But... the scale isnt moving. I really need to start concentrating on this and getting it to move. I am having a hard time not drinking with my meals as well. Its just hard to not do that. I really need to break that as well. The 1st of April is going to be here before we know it. And Kathy is coming up on her one year bandiversary. How is everyone else doing? How's the weight loss going? I need to measure again here soon. I am at 8 in a half months along with my band journey and 52 pounds gone. I think that is a great accomplishment. OK, running out of things to say. I am going to hit the hay and get up and run around like a chicken again tomorrow, but hopefully keep my head on tight. TTYS!!! Angie

I take Viactiv Chewables and it helps me get my chocolate fix. They do wonders for me. I have never been able to grow finger nails and mine are very hard and long. Give them a try. angie

I know, it is going by so fast. You are very disciplined to start shopping now for Christmas. I need to take that advice and run with it. I have been busy with these children. Especially since it is getting so warm out. My oldest was outside practicing for softball and was swinging her bat around and hit my middle child in the eye with it. She has a big mouse on her eye and it was very purple this morning. My little Kindergartener didnt want to go to school in fear her friends would make fun of her. That broke my heart. I told her to not pay attention to them, that she is still beautiful and it will go away soon. Well we have a month before we meet up again. Let's decide how much weight we want to lose before we see each other again. I want to be in the 160's something bad. So I need to kick it up a notch. I was a bit upset this morning at the scale because it said I was 175!!!! What is going on!!! GRRR!! I have been working out and can hardly eat a thing? Why would I gain a pound. Maybe it's Fluid who knows but it better leave me and leave me fast, cuz I didnt want to see that! lol So I will say I want to be at least 169 before I see you girls on the 1st. If I bypass that then great, if not then I am not going to be happy. This Month is the Month of the 160's for me!!!! GO ANGIE!!! Ok I am outta here. I am writing a book. I was told not to eat or drink anything two hours before. Then after I had my fill I was told I could only have liquids for three days and mushies for another three. I hope this helps. Angie

Do walking. When I had my surgery they said to walk 25 minutes twice a day. You don't need to do anything strenuous. Just walk. You are going to do great. :scared: We will miss you at Breakfast on the 1st. Angie

I have never been to Bob Evans... Are they as good as IHOP? Either one will be fine with me though. I don't care. Just give me a time and place and I will take it from there. :scared: Angie

That is awesome Kathy! Let me know what it says this morning? I got up and mine said 173.2!! WOOT! Keep going! Keep GOING! I am liking the scale moving again. Plus I am measuring my food and trying to eat right. (even though I snuck some cheeto's) <smack me!!!> I hate it I get stuck on eggs. That is just weird to me. I had a 1/4 cup of oatmeal this morning and an 1 oz of apple for breakfast. I need to keep this going. I so got out of measuring my food it wasnt funny. So that is part of me not losing. I think getting that french fry caught in my throat cured me of eating bad things. That just wasnt a fun experience. lol Have fun at the circus. I would love to take my kids. How much are tickets? Melissa!!!! I knew I was forgetting someone. SORRY! That brain fart was really bad last night and I had to go to sleep to cure it. I felt so bad I couldnt remember everyone!
