My husband has a hiatal hernia and it really bugs him but I think it is really bad. He isnt a candidate for the Lapband at all. He has a bunch of scar tissue and the doctor doesnt want him to be touched anymore. Said if he doesnt need a surgery then dont have it unless necessary. I am sure Dr. B can take care of this with no problem. He did my lapband and my gallbladder surgery. Not at the same time they were six months apart. Angie

Hello Everyone, First of all thank you Karen for the little prayer. I so appreciate it. I am going through some really hard times right now and it has been very, very, exhausting, and scary. As you know, my husband and I were having troubles. Well he moved out this week. The counseling isnt going well at all and he decided it would be best for him to leave instead of working on this. 19 years of a life together and he's gone in one day. I am sad, overwhelmed, sick, and quite frankly I do feel a little relief that he is gone. At least we arent fighting all the time like we were. My weight loss is taking a beating right now. It has been nothing but turmoil since my Grandmother died in November. I can't seem to get back on track and can't really seem to focus on anything right now. Please keep me in your prayers. I can't make it this saturday. Kiddo's have softball and soccer. So maybe another time. Thanks for listening. Angie

Hello my name is Angie. I have been banded since 6-30-2005 and I have loved every minute of it. I have lost a total of 50 pounds and have another 50 to go. This second half after banding has been hard for me. I can't stay on track and haven't lost anything since November. I am currently married but things are rocky. I have been with Dan since I was 15 years old and we have 3 beautiful little girls together, Caity (9), Abby (6), and Dee Dee (4). We live down in Lake Wylie, SC and I love it here. I too need a tummy tuck but not until all this 50 pounds is gone. I may want a boob lift and something done too my legs too. I am also getting ready to have Laser hair removal on my face. With my hormones out of wack because of being over weight I am very happy to have this done. The weird thing about it is is that you have to shave your face before each session. I did the other day and about cried. lol But my face did feel better without the hair. Ok, enough about me. Let's hear from the rest of you! Angie

Oh wow! Thanks for the update. I love it! Well booby lumps don't sound fun but Curtis's birthday sounds awesome. Who is having a booby lump??? I for one have to start that process up too. I go for my gyn visit on Thursday next week and I am sure they are going to set that up. <boo hoo> Wedding Anniversary's... Well we had our 10 year anniversary last year and it was awesome. We went to Vegas and he gave me a 10 year anniversary ring. But this year has been very rocky for us since I had my banding done and lost this weight and getting noticed and whistled at. <sigh> We need to get that spark back ladies. It seems counseling is helping a bit but not fully yet. Oh get this! Not sure if any of you are having this problem of facial hair but I do. I am going to Charlotte Laser on the 14th to start the process of getting rid of it. They have a 70% off deal and I got it for 432 for full facial. That is an awesome deal. Six sessions and I have to shave my face before each one. That is weird to me but if thats what I have to do then there you go. I will do it to get rid of it. Its embarrassing. And I hate waxing. Alright I am writing a book and need to get off of here and get cleaning done. ITs suppose to be a beautiful day out. Have fun this weekend girls! TTYL! Angie

Hello, I am still alive!!! Seems like forever since I have posted something. Well things have been going crazy around here. I have something going on with me that is making me hurt when I go potty. :angry It doesn't feel well at all and I have been to the Doc twice now. Hopefully this antibiotic will help me along and help me feel better. If its one thing its another with me anymore and I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I have gained 4 pounds and I feel like Sh*@!!!! FUNK get out of me! I can't stand you! lol How is everyone else doing around here? I havent gone up to read, just came straight in here to complain about me. I need a swift kick in the butt!!! I need to get back on track and can't seem to get there. Grr! I can't do Saturday's at all until maybe the summer. My girls are in Softball and Soccer and they have games in the mornings and early afternoon's. The 22nd is booked. I have Soccer at 9, Softball at 10, and the girls school is having their Spring Carnival. So no way no how can I do that day. Sorry girls! I so want to see you. If we could do a evening during the week I could probably swing that other than that my weekends are slammed. Angie

Welcome Sweetness1... So you're a Dr. B patient as well? Wow, we are growing! This is very exciting. Hopefully we can have a big get together and get to meet everyone. We should do a family outing and go to a park and cookout and let the kiddies play. That sounds fun to me. That way we can try to get everyone involved. I hope everyone is doing good today. I started out at around the same time as you and I had my surgery on the 30th of June. So yeah it takes that long, but, I didn't have anything at all done for my first consult. So it took me from the end of March until the End of June to get my surgery. I am so happy I had it then so I could recoop and be ready for the kids to start back school. I didn't have to worry about them in school or me running around like a chicken with her head cut off. It will be here before you know it. Angie

Dr. B is great. He does have a dry sense of humor and it takes a couple of times to really feel comfortable with him. I have seen him so much that him and I just click now. He is a funny guy and nice to talk with. You really need to start asking questions while you are there because he wont drill them out of you believe me. Make sure when he is sitting there on the computer looking at things to start asking away dont be shy! Angie

Wow that is great! Looks like you are doing it around the same time frame I started. I went to Dr. B as well and had my first Consult at the end of March and did all the preliminary stuff and then got my band at the end of June 2005. Hang in there it will go by fast! Believe me! Welcome Stacy! I am happy to see someone that has been doing this for a while and that has had such success with it. I am impressed and would love to hear how you did it? I am at a stand still right now with my weight loss with 50 pounds gone. I would love to get another 50 gone but it seems to not be moving. I think I am not doing what I should be and I need to get back on track. I am right now drinking with my meal and I know that is a BIG NO NO!!! So smack me on the hand next time you see me! I didnt get to see her sing last night but my girlfriend taped it for me so I will be watching it today. I love Chris and hope he takes it all the way. He is so HOT! You will do great I just know it. I am happy you are taking this step for yourself and going to help yourself feel better. That is awesome to me.
