Wow that is great Kim! You have lost that much in two weeks? I hope I do as good as you in the beginning. I am so nervous though. I know I will be fine it is just so nerve racking. Did you have to do liquids before surgery? Dr Bauman doesnt have us do liquids until after surgery. I can eat up until midnight the night before surgery. It's my husbands bday so I am happy for that. I can have my last piece of cake for a while. Yes, I would love to hook up with you at Concord Mills. I am a ways away but I love it up there and wouldnt mind the ride. I will have two extra children with me in July so maybe an evening outing or we could do lunch but I would have five kids! Let me know. Angie

Cool, I know where that is. I havent been in the Y down by Arrowood but I have heard it is a really nice one. I go to the Clover Y near me. It is very small but is really nice because you get to meet a bunch of nice girls. We all went out the other night and had a blast. It will be so neat to meet you all. I am sure you will have all those test done by then and will have your surgery date soon. I know how it feels. It seemed like forever for those tests and getting them back to Dr. Bauman. It will go by fast. It did for me. I am getting nervous. I have three days until mine. I can't wait though. Talk to you soon. Angie

Wow, This is so exciting! I am so happy to see so many Charlotte people on here. We really need to get this going girls. I have my surgery on Thursday and would love to do something in July if we could. Where is everyone from in Charlotte? I am down in SC in Lake Wylie. My husband works up on Arrowood. Are any of you near there? Where would be a good convienient place to meet? Lets get the ball rolling! Angie

Thanks for asking that Kathy! I am very happy with Bauman. I knew a lot of people that went with him and had a bunch of success. So that is why I picked him. I have never heard of the other doctor (sorry cant remember his name right now). I have my surgery with Dr. Bauman on Thursday and I can't wait to get on here and let everyone know how it went. We really do need to get together. This is great Kathy! We are getting a bunch of newbie's in here. I think this is going to be a great support system. BTW, I live in Lake Wylie, SC just 20 minutes from Charlotte. So it will be really easy for me to come and do support groups. Lets get it going. Kathy, I think you would be great with putting this together. You always seem so organized!

Thanks for the support on here. You guys are awesome. I know we will do fine, I know worry is hard to control! lol But, it just comes on us and wont let go until after the fact. I just flew on a plane for the first time and my knees were shakin' lol I did great, I am back home safe and sound. New things are always going to drive you crazy. Monday is coming tomorrow!!! I am so excited for you! I can't wait to hear how you are doing.

Welcome aboard. I am also having Surgery this week, on Thursday. I am too having the same feelings you are. I will keep you in my prayers on Monday. You will do fine I know you will. Everything will be smooth sailing afterward and you will start feeling wonderful about yourself when you see your weight going down. Thats how I am looking at it. I have three beautiful little girls at home and I am afraid I am going to leave them. I know I am in good hands but that is in the back of my mind. I would hate to leave them and my husband behind at such a young age, but I need to do something about this weight or it will come eventually. SoonerGirl, I am on the 30th too! I went today and had my interview with the hospital on what to expect and went and saw my Doctor. He doesn't require a pre-op diet at all. I start liquids after the surgery. I thought it was weird since I have heard everyone else on the liquid thing. I might do it a little bit before hand to lose a little bit of weight before surgery. Congrats to the one's that have been banded. I am happy for you and keep your prayers coming for the rest of us June Bandsters! Can't wait to be on the loosing side! Angie

Wow, That sucks. I would be pissed if my Doc called and said that! I am glad it is going better now. I would had been a wreck too.

I feel I had an NSV last night. One of my dearest friends that I thought was going to have a problem with me having the surgery and not support my decision came through for me last night. He told me that he will support my decision and will be there for me if I need him. That is just plain awesome. It made my night. I was on cloud 9! I know I shouldnt really care if they are behind me or not, but I do. I am doing this for me to better myself and want to make my family and friends proud of me!!! I am having my surgery on the 30th of June and I feel like I have already gotten an NSV without it! Look how it is going to make me feel once I have it. I have all my family and friends support. My Dear Husband has been so supportive of me doing this and he is very excited for me. He is such a wonderful man. I am one of the luckiest woman in the world!!!! WOO HOO!!!!

Thanks so much. I can't wait to have it done. I was able to pre register at the Hospital today and get that all squared away. I am so excited. This month is going to go by so fast.

Cool, I have'nt gone through it yet but I agree for you to stock up before you have it done. I am a June Bandster! I will have mine at the end of June. On the 30th. Keep me posted on how you're feeling and How well you do. I am sure you will do fine and will on the loosing side soon. Angie

Yes, He is! He is a very special part of my life. I think very highly of him and really appreciate him coming around and understanding my decision. See we have another friend that had RNY and she has lost all of her weight and she looks good, but her attitude has changed and she just doesnt take care of herself. She drinks Sun Drops like they are going out of style. We try to talk with her but she doesnt want to listen. So, He has reservations about it. He doesnt want to see me act like her or eat like she is. He said if I do and he notices it he is going to kick my ass! lol So he is a great friend. He will look out for me and will keep an eye on my habits. My life is going to turn into a big show where everyone is watching! lol Thanks for the Reply! Angie

Thanks Kathy! Wow, Looks like your the only one to reply. I really appreciate you being here for me. You are an inspiration to me to keep going through with this. Of course I get those days where I am like, WHAT AM I DOING? But for the most part I am very very excited about doing this so I will have something to talk about with you once it is done.
