Melissa, I ate my last dinner at 8pm the night before Surgery. You just can't eat after midnight. You are going to do fine! You are in great hands with Dr. Bauman. Yes Good Luck with you Melissa! I hope all goes well with the Surgery. I went to Dr. Bauman's office today as well to see the Nutritionist. There was someone in there filling out paper work? Was that you? I had my daughter with me and she was in a panthers cheerleading outfit? I was there around 10:20. I almost started talking and then said no she is filling out some papers so I left her alone. It would be funny if it was you? Melissa let me know if you need anything at all after surgery. Hey Girls, I wanted to give you all an update on how I am doing. I am now at 185.6 pounds. That is a total of 41 pounds lost. I measured myself too and have lost some good inches. Don't really want to share the measurements! I am now in a size 18. I started in a size 22. This was the best decision I have ever made for myself. I am so happy with the results. You girls that were just banded will do great. This band is my best friend! lol I love it and will never get rid of it unless I absolutely have too! lol Angie

Cool Melissa! I hope Dr. Bauman and his crew are taking good care of you. They did me and I am very happy with everything. Have you seen the nutritionist yet? She is really good too. I go to them on the 13th I believe? Not sure. They do call and remind you. So why are you doing a self pre-op diet? Dr Bauman lets you eat until the night before surgery. I did fine. I had my last supper at around 8pm that night and then didn't eat anymore until two weeks later! lol You are going to do great. If you follow the nutritionists guidelines you will do wonderful. It is hard. I did cheat last night and have a piece of pizza. I felt guilty but I know I can't be strong all the time and temptation will get me. Three more days and you are in Bandland! I am excited for you. When you are out if you have any questions at all let me know. And Dr. Bauman will let you stay a night and that was all I needed was a night and then I went home. The ride home was rough but I made it. It took an hour and I had to stop several times to walk and pass gas. hehe OK I am off of here. Gotta get ready for my lunch date! Angie

Congrats Dianne!!! I am so proud of you! Keep up the great work. You will be able to lay down in that bed and get comfy in no time. I thought that would take forever too. I was so uncomfortable the first week. Melissa, Dr. Bauman will let you stay a night if you want too. He was ready to kick me out but I told him no! I had three little ones at home that would be climbing all over me and I just wanted to rest. So he let me. And btw, those beds at NEMC are so comfortable. I was in heaven. Congrats Star and Dianne!!! I am so happy for you guys. Sorry I have been out of the loop. Busy as a bee over here. My daughter had her birthday as well. Let me know how much you have lost so far? It is so exciting in the beginning to see how much you can lose in those two weeks. I lost 17 pounds those first two weeks. But that liquid diet isnt that fun, but you will survive I promise!! Mix up a bunch of yummy Protein shakes and you will be set! Can't wait to see you girls in November and see how different you look. Melissa good luck to you! When is your date again? Thanks Kim! I am working my heart out. It is slowing down a bit, I only lost 1 pounds last week and I was like oh hell NO! So I have stepped up my workouts and started lifting weights. Hopefully that will kick start some more. If it starts slowing down like this then I will get a fill next month. Fills are 200 dollars and they have to be paid up front and then I submit it to insurance. Weird how that is but oh well. I really need to do it I think because I am starting to feel a bit more hungry throughout the day. Please take pictures for me so I can see how everyone is doing. I hate it that I am missing it because I do like to get out and hang with you ladies. Angie

I wish I could be there girls! This field trip was suppose to be on the 10th of September and they changed it on us. It messed everything up. I have a busy day on the 24th. So sorry I have to cut you guys out. Next month I will be there and will make sure nothing messes it up! BTW, I am down to 187 so 39 pounds are gone forever! I am so happy!!!! Hey Guys, I have a full plate on me on the 24th. I have to go to a field trip with my Daughter to Crowders Mountain and then two birthday parties. It stinks! I am sorry but I can't make this one. I will miss you guys! I go to the nutritionist tomorrow for an official weigh in. I am now at 189! Life is good! Thanks, Angie

Thanks Ladies! I wish I could go and I hate it that I have a bunch on my plate for the 24th, I almost cant fit everything in my day! That is Awesome Kim I hope you hit that 50 pound mark that would be great! Yes Melissa, Dr Bauman's Nutritionist splits the payments. You pay for the first visit 100 dollars and then after surgery you start paying 100 dollars every month. They do not submit to insurance. Once I am done paying I will submit it myself so I can hopefully get the money back. We shall see. They will work with you and I don't see a problem if you prepare and know it is coming up each month after surgery. I saw her back in April and didnt have to pay again until August. Now I am on monthly payments. Don't stress to hard about it he did really good with my surgery. He is a great Doctor. Angie

Dr. Bauman's nutritionist program is excellent and worth the money. The nutritionist isnt linked to him they are out of Northeast Medical hospital. But you go to his office to see them. You pay 100 dollars on your first visit and then start paying 100 every month until the $500 is paid. You dont have pay him all up front for that. You do however have to pay $250 up front for his consultation fee. And that will be used to either pay some of the bills at the end or you will get it back if your insurance covers it all like mine did. I think it could work for you. I go tomorrow to see the nutritionist and I have to give her 100 bucks. It will hurt but its work it! Don't be discouraged at all. This will work for you. All depends on how much you want it too!
