eyoung hope all went well for you. Welcome to the family! And I am 10 weeks post op and I feel fantastic!! Sometimes I also forget I had surgery but then I see those big jeans that I can no longer wear without looking like a thug and I know I did the right thing and I am thankful!! Good luck to all!! -

As said before, best to consult your surgeon. I was not allowed to travel at all for 6 weeks. Hope it works out for you. -
1St Week After Surgery..how Did It Go?
lookn2lose1383837872 replied to ucjes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery on Monday also! Today is the first day I have really felt great. Ready to take on the world! I was in a hurry to get out of the hospital so I headed home Tues and have worked hard on getting all my fluids in. I did find that my mood as well as my gas pains have gotten better once I started walking outside. Even though it's a whopping 7° outside. I did weigh myself and I am down 14lbs but I have walked a lot to get rid of the fluids. Just keep on track and we will be successful!! Good luck! -

Thank you all!! I have had this since my surgery on Monday. I thought I was going crazy. I am constantly cleaning my belly button with a q-tip. Now I am off to get some ointment! Thank you again!! -

What Do You Look Forward To?

This really made me think!! So here are a few of mine... *To be able to squeeze between chairs at a banquet without my "belly" brushing someone's back! *To walk into Victoria's Secret and not see the salespeople debate who has to tell me they have nothing in my size. *Getting to hang my undies on the clothesline and not worrying they will catch the breeze and sail away! *Being able to use the bathroom on a plane without seeing everyone pull their arms in from the aisle. *Being able to "shake my booty" with the grandkids and not having to wait for the aftershock to end so I can sit down!! -

Nov. 18Th Is Surgery Day!
lookn2lose1383837872 posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My first post...So, I am a 49 year old wife to 1, mom to 2, and grandma to 2. I am currently on leave from my job to be home with my grandbabies and help my dad after his cancer treatments. Reached my highest weight ever and decided it was time to do something for me. Now surgery is less than 36 hours away and I am more scared than excited. Sitting here debating a final meal or a bowl of cereal. Tomorrow is clear liquids in preparation for surgery. I feel very emotional about everything and am not sure if it's me or if that's pretty normal. It has been very reassuring reading everyone's posts and knowing I am not alone on this journey. Thank you and all the best to you all!
