I am 2 days post-op is it okay to swallow small Tylenol?

My doctor had me taking pills on day 2 when I was in hospital. Pain pills. and potassium pills. They were huge. No problems and I never vomited. Did not hurt. -
I am a HS teacher. I will go back on the 8th day. I plan on taking it easy.

I feel the same way. I am concerned but people that are more post op they say when we eat solids then we will have more restrictions. -

I teach at an alternative school. The other day, 4 days before surgery someone said I was wide as a billboard. At 265 pounds I don't think so but look at the source of the comment. It's hard sometimes because you want to say something back. But this time I knew. Not for long. Not for long.

I am in day 5. It's really different for people. First 3 days were painful because of gas. However, it did get better each day. I have never vomited and I take in my liquids. I am worried because I think my pouch can stand too much liquid. -

It depends on person. I am day 5 post op. I don't have much gas left. -
I am 5 days post op. I have diarrhea too. Nothing solid yet. I have not tried milk yet.

Ask your doctor what is his standard for his patients. I asked mine at my last pre op appt. what he said ended up being my reality. No tubes. No catheters. Sore throat and gas pain. Pain Meds didn't help much with gas pain. Tummy swollen. 2 IVs. Sleepy. Just remember to get up and walk. Walk. Walk. I was walking by that evening. And you will have to use the bathroom a lot. -

sleeved on the 14th too. Only took Tylenol 3. Pain Meds don't really help with gas pain. Walking and more walking helps. Spent 2 nights in hospital. I took one pill since being home. Are you walking that gas out?

Thanks to everyone who responded. I am feeling better. I will watch the amount I drink/eat now.

I am post op 4days. I just ate a half of can cream soup strained. I probably could eat the rest of the can. Something is wrong. I don't think my stomach is small enough. Anyone experience this?

you will do it. I told a couple of friends and a few family members. The one family member I thought would be supportive was not. So I stopped telling people. I am 4 days post op. Easter is in a few days so I guess folks will know!!! At least I won't have to listen to why I shouldn't have to do it. I feel great. First few days was rough for me. However, I never vomited. I keeping everything down. I am glad I found this support tool. -

I am 3 days post op. Doing well. Slight discomfort. Had more gas released today and my first BM!! I don't really know who much I should be drinking. But I am not making my self sick. I am drinking water, boost, broth, and eating jello. I ate 3 spoons of yougurt. Then realized I was suppose to have that. I have not vomited. Thank goodness. How has your process been. Any April 14th sleevers out there?

I am 3 days post op. Gas moved a little bit the first 2 days but now it's moving out. Walking helped.

I am glad it's over. Day 2 post op. Gas pains were the worst. Didn't vomit at all. Getting liquids in. Now 2 weeks of more liquids.

I understand. You will get through it. I am leaving the hospital now. It's rough but in the end you will do it. Figure out what is the most challenging time of the day for you and try to stay distracted. My time was the evening.

a little better now. It's true when they say you got to get the air out. I am burping. But not passing gas. I can feel the gas now sitting in the bottom of my stomach.
