Got through dinner. I kept moving. Most people didn't realize I was eating. I went from room to room. But what surprised me was how much I watch other people. I finally noticed how much my family eats. What then surprised me how much food adults put on small children's plates!!! I am 6 days post op so this is a new experience for me.

I am 9 days post op. I am going to ask my doctor that question on May 1st. I am going to Nassau in July. Will I be able to scuba dive. I went diving in Jamaica before. You will have a fabulous time.

I so agree with you. Yes last year was totally different for me. I too don't want to judge but it's like we are looking in on a problem and we can see clearer now. My son is more aware now too. Our children will remember they should make wiser choices. Hopefully as the time goes by they will continue to make the right choices. -

I packed the same. I did not use the PJ and didn't need the small pillow. This was nothing like my hysterectomy surgery. I say take a robe but make sure it zips. Nothing with ties. I like the robe when walking. -
I have stiree strips on my incisions. I got to shower the 3rd day. When I get out of the shower I pat them dry. I do not put anything on my skin. The strips will fall off by themselves. I have 5 incisions. One of the set of strips is being to come loose.

I could eat 4.5 oz of yogurt one week out!!! I think doctors make the pouch difference sizes. I have my 2 week follow up next week. I am going to ask. -

I have chewed food and spit it out. I am 5 days post op. Has anyone else done this? I want to chew and taste food so bad.

yes. My right side is swollen. I am 7 days out and it's going down but I thought at first that I looked deformed!!!! I used the heating pad 2 nights. I think that helped. They took my stomach out on the right. What side for you?

I have had the same worries. People are telling me that early on we are drinking sliders. Things go through our pouch easily. I am 7 days post op. They said it will change when we introduce solid foods. What are you eating now? -

I am 7 days out and get the same feeling. I know there is a difference in our post op days. However, I am sure it will get better. Hang in there. Talk with your doctor. I also equate hunger to losing pounds. I have always done that. So there is a silver lining. For me the symptoms you describe is only for a few minutes or even seconds. -

I am feeling ok. Hungry a lot. Stomach pains come from hunger. I can wait until I can eat purée foods. My stomach takes about 6-7oz of liquids. I try to limit it to 4-5 oz. I drink boost high protein low carb drink. I am so over broth. I keep thinking this phase will past. I have lost 22lbs since my highest and is down 7 pounds since last Monday. -
