    Fort Worth Buddies?

    Melody, only required to buy the protein shakes for pro-op. Dr Kim uses bariessentials which has ll the vitamins and nutrients your body needs before surgery. My pre-op was 1 week of protein shakes and liquids sugar free. My protein powder was included in my cash price, so not sure how much it would have been. They have vitamins but they do not push you to buy them, nor did they push me to purchase more protein powder.

    Okay Fort Worth buddies! I'm not sure who is in what sizes, but I have some lee's dressier jeans size 16 that I wore at size 18 and I have a pair of black worthington trousers, black and white long skirt and some other things like lightweight jackets for work attire. I would like to see if someone is interested in before I take to goodwill. Let me know if interested, we can meet somewhere or come to my house to check out next weekend Saturday daytime.

    It took about 4-5 days after cardiac clearance for them to call me to schedule surgery. It was in November but I wanted my surgery in December since pto started over and was able to use some holiday time as well. Good luck! My surgery was cash pay- and at texas general with dr Kim and Holden doing hernia repair!

    Bea - Im sorry that I didnt log on yesterday to give you my starting and goal weight for patty day challenge, it was my birthday and I was not feeling well either! ugh feeling a bit better today. I will go with Sunday's weigh in for starting weight 199 goal for st Patty's day in 4 weeks 193. 1.5 pound per week average sounds doable!

    Welcome! I had mine there on 12/16, the staff is very friendly and I was able to rest when needed. The rooms are large too. When is your surgery scheduled for?

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

    Yippieeeee, that too is one of my main goals, hence my name. Its been 14 yrs for me so I'm still waiting, scared to buy any now but guess I can go thrifting to try some sizes on. Anyways, proud for u:) Deezjeenz - you and I are almost the same as in starting and where we are now - looks like same height as well, even though I had my surgery 2 weeks before you - I figured I would share with you how my jeans are fitting. My 18 jeans are really way to large, the 16's are fitting quite nicely, not too tight and not too loose. They are the Old Navy Sweatheart cut so for someone with a little more curves. I have not wore these jeans in 2-3 years, glad I am back in them, and they fit much better than before because they are loose in the right places!

  13. Good super Sunday everyone! So close to Onederland! HW 231 SW 224 on 12/16 CW 201 Celebrated the 30lbs lost with mani/pedi with friend, eyebrow threading, then had a 15 dollar reward at kohls and bought two Henley shirts in a Large vs xl! Love the bling on my charcoal nails! Next goal for pamper day will be 50 lb loss!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

    I have been keeping up with the posts that get emailed to me daily for this forum... but knew I had not stopped in for a while! I have been more active on the FB page thought. I had my 6 week follow up yesterday - they show that I started 3 pounds heavier than what I show due to it being 3pm in the afternoon the day they are accounting for - so to them I am 30 pounds lost - she said they would like for me to increase my calories and excercis and try to only be losign 1-2 pounds a week now. I am free and clear to eat in moderation any meats, fish ect... I asked since my birthday is coming mid February and we are hosting my nephew coming in from the Navy stationed in Japan - If it would be okay to have a glass of wine during the celeration. She answered yes, and I could drink now if I wanted in moderation, but to be sure to account for the calorie intake. Now in my mind - it would have been better if they told me no drinking for 3 months or 6 months but gave me the green light to have A single glass of wine on bday. I have been doing just fine not drinking, but now that I know I can safely - it keeps popping in my brain! HAHAHA

    Menstrual cycles

    I know what you mean Tami...I had Rx Naproxyn especially for the cramps...can't take that anymore...tried Tylenol, but that didn't seem to even touch the pain. Grrrr. MinWin - At my appt yesterday - PA told me I could resume taking Ibuprofen during TOM but to also be sure to take my antacid with it. She also suggested I start taking Iron supplements after a really heavy mensus... so I may be adding that in this week.

    Suggestions needed: best running app

    i used to use Runkeeper. They have a free version. Its up to you to post on FB or social. I was able to listen to my music at the same time. It does GPS coordinates, so if your in your neighborhood it will be street map marking where you ran or walked, about how fast you were going ect. it also keeps teh data in the app so you can keep track of your marked improvements.

    Still can't get my size right!

    My lower body - ugh every Sunday I try on the next size down that I have in my closet...and thought yesterday would have been it, but no... next size is still a tad snug for my liking for work clothes - I think the problem is they are ny co, which I wore 6 years ago, so maybe my shape has changed and wonder if they cut smaller? but they dont even seem close to fitting. I may have to just go get me a pair of misses pants for work in the next size, because the the size I am in is barely hanging on me! I am wearing a belt to keep my pants up and they are so baggy everywhere it looks sloppy. I seem to being doing great on the upper body and wearing shirts I havent wore in a while with my jackets i used to wear often.
