Sorry...details....Jose Rodriguez and a Dr. Calderon who is a Psychiatrist/Surgeon/anything else he said.....Running scam out of San Antonio,Texas/driving to Acuna,Mexico and Juarez now also. He has moved his scam to Juarez mainly now. So they fly you to San Antonio and then drive you across the border into a dirt street called Acuna, you can't even use toilet paper in the toilets cause it is so underdeveloped. What a dump.

NO...to Jose Rodriguez and who ever else he ads to the bunch all of a sudden! He is a scam so my american dr's here say and he butchered me up terrible and his "team", my port was in upside down and tubing came through my skin and I have had to deal with Staph for months and the terror of a near death experience. I tried to answer your reply and didn't make it the first time I suppose. Yes, I know why I got Staph...filthy conditions in the Operating room and a bad procedure. I was fully awake the second operation to repair tubing coming out of my stomach, that's when I saw it all.....blood spatterd walls, spiders and open panels to the dirt street outside. It was a horrifying experience, believe me. Rodriguez is now operating out of Juarez, Mexico mainly. So do more than investigate, listen to those on NBC and 20/20 and figure out if its worth dying or not. There are a few things worse than being fat.......not many true.

I want to help anyone else I can.....stay out of Mexico. When you have it done there, no Doctor will see you at home. It's very dangerous, I lost all my money to them, and now have to give up daily needs to pay new "real" doctors. Infection as Staph, continued since July 07, I have had 2 extra surgeries. I had to make several trips of 300 miles away and back to get any help at all, my port was removed, as it was upside down.My doctor said it is a scam and here I am .....too sick to loose any weight and 1/2 a band implanted. Life is a Mystery.:mad:This was done by Jose Rodriguez and Dr. Calderon and some other guy who I don't know his name, he just did repairs instead of rodriguez the second time around.

Stay out of Mexico ! I went there a healthy,happy person,now I have had to go through so many infections and pain and my port and some tubing removed due to a incorrect surgery technique. The port was upside down even after the:cursing: second operation. No one in the area would see me period. Finally ended up 300 miles away with some help and surgery. I was told by Dr's here that this is a scam and so I see. Live and learn, I hope it helps just one person to stay away from Rodriguez in Juarez and Acuna, Mexico. Ofcourse we were all shipped to San Antonio, Texas first, which should be illegal, which I am checking into also. Good Luck and God be with you!

HAS ANY ONE OUT THERE HAD PROBLEMS WITH ERROR IN TECHNIQUE BY THE DR WHO PLACED THE BAND? THIS WOULD BE CAUSING A VARIETY OF PROBLEMS, SUCH AS: BACKWARDS PORT (OF COURSE UNABLE TO FILL), UNSTITCHED TUBING .....PORT AND TUBING COMING THROUGH SKIN? STAPH FROM ORIGINAL SURGERY? Gosh you are killing! I loved your letter on here, I don't look often as I am a bit synical by now. But I do believe in the band, the idea is great If, and I mean If...you get the right Doctor. Stay out of Mexico, I beg you. There are now American Doctors doing it on the payment plan. I wish I would have waited for that. Take care!

I do not think this sounds normal at all. Who did the surgery? I am just curious as I also have simular problems with my port.

Dear Mary, I Too Have An Infection And Am Going Through Some Of The Very Same Things. Scary Isn't It? Geesh. My Packing Was Removed After 3 Days And All That Was Cultured..i Have Staph Aureas...which Is The Least Of Staph's ..ha. They Gave Me Keflex X 4 500mg For 10 Days And I Got It Check Out In 3 Days. After That I Go In 2 More Days For A Follow Up. I Am Feeling Better But Horrible Sore Near The Port Area. Also Am Looking For A Follow Up Dr As Mine Turned Me Away At The Door. I also have an infected area..the middle large incision. have gone through ER and now working on second visit to surgeon to clean it up, if it will heal. I pray for all of us that have had the unexpected happen. We have no more money either , charging all this.

Well Evidently Leaking From An Incision Is Not Fluid Redirection........it Quickly Becomes Infection..so I Spent Hours In The Er And Had My Incision Re-opened And Packed And Iv's So Be Careful Out There.....get Help Asap

thank you........has any one else developed leaking from one of your incisions? They said it is just redirection of my fluids. Makes you sore like the horrible flu.
