I am 41 years old and 1 of 4 girls in my family. I have always been the fat sister. I have dieted all my life, and here I am almost a week after my gastric sleeve. I am hoping that I will no longer be the fat sister. I have a beautiful 17 yr old daughter, who thank God did not take after me. I have never been married. I have been dating a gorgeous Canadian for the past six years. He took care of me this past week, meant a lot to me. He is such a little skinny butt, lol. But he loves me for who I am, not what I look like. He supports me in whatever path I take. I just don't want to be known as fatty and skinny, probably mostly in my mind. I have poor self esteem, working on that. I have lost 12 pounds already and making progress. I'm still very sore, but that's getting better. I love Pizza and wings, and the good stuff. I'm originally from south of Buffalo NY, so I know real pizza and wings. When I was pregnant all I craved was pizza, everything else made me sick. But I decided life over food. I want to be healthy and be able to do things with my family. I have just started my journey, looking forward to every bit of it. I work in the operating room, a very busy place. I see Bariatric surgery every day. It was after learning about the process and asking lots of questions that I made the plunge to have it done. I thought about it for about a year, its a big decision. So hopefully a new me is about to emerge, and I will no longer be the fat sister.
