  1. Seven weeks out I had lost 30lbs so similar to a lot of people. Day of surgery was 293lb May 28th Seven weeks post op 263lb. Last Sunday 206lbs
  2. Thanks, makes me wish I had not stalled for three years trying diets before taking the plunge and having WLS. Still if I had gone for it three years ago would have probably ended up with the band and it seems like the sleeve is turning out to be a great option for me as reminds me strongly when I try to do the wrong thing. Just hope I am still saying that in a couple of years time.

    May sleevers results so far!

Yes, I feel like the honeymoon period may only last six months for me and not 18. So far I have had no long stalls but know one has to come soon. Then I plan to start the strength training to burn a few more calories and tighten things up a bit.
  4. Made the overweight club too recently from a BMI of 45. It does feel good but would still like to get to "normal" though I can't remember the last time I was in that range, probably at college. I am now the lowest weight I have been in 25-30 years. About 30lbs to lose to qualify as normal which I suspect will be a lot harder than the last 110lbs.

Dropped 3 pants size in 2 months

Started at a 56 in May when I had the surgery this year and down to a 40 now after six months. Loss seems to be slowing down so may be at that size for a while. Jackets have gone from 3XL to L as well..
  6. Lost 3lb a week for five months without heavy workouts, just walking but don't think that will work forever but may get you to where you feel you can workout more..
  7. Sleeved in late May and no major problems so far. Did have nausea after drinking the stuff for the leak test in the hospital but no nausea since. Have lost 80lbs in the past five months. Walking a lot in the beginning was key for me as took me a while to stop sleeping most of the day, but was nice outside at that time of year. Also, had a lot of constipation issues but walking and Fiber helped that after a while. Had two weeks off work after the op but felt fine in the office after that. Had some pain round the large incision site but that went away after a couple of weeks too. Key on the possible complications is to talk through the possibilities with the surgeon. Mine went through the different complications but then said we know what can go wrong and what to do if it happens so I was less worried after that.

    May sleevers results so far!

Hopefully forever, now I know doing the right thing works. Still have had a couple of beers over the last few weeks and survived having some empty calories while still losing weight. Managed to avoid ice cream or frozen yogurt so far which I think would be much easier for me to consume a lot of calories doing. Got my six month checkup in a few weeks and will see if the NUT changes my diet in any way.
  9. I started pre-op at 325 in October 2012 and had the surgery after all the tests May 28th this year at 293lb, after five months I am at 215lb and still going down about 2lbs a week. Not sure when the balance will be reached so I would think 230 should be reachable if you stick to the diet program.

    May sleevers results so far!

Sleeved on May 28th. Highest weight 360 beginning of process with Doc Oct 2012 325lb Start of pre-op diet in May 305lb Surgery Date 295 Current Weight 215 I am 6ft tall No big issues so far and weight seems to be coming off slow and steady. Just about at a BMI of 29 which is great and waist has gone from 56in to 42in so happy about that. Just hoping this means the weight will stay off longer than a year. That's going to be the tough part. Good luck to all the other May sleever's too.
