  1. So sorry to hear what you had to go through, but it is great that you are on the mend and now you are aware of your condition. Good luck!

    surgery scheduled in two days

I was sleeved on the 31st, I was super nervous and it was my first surgery. Now that I am done with it I wonder why I got myself all worked up over it, it was not as bad as I imagined at all. Hang in there, and good luck!

Who Was Your Gastric Sleeve Surgeon

Dr Thomas Umbach from Blossom Bariatrics. Had the procedure done at North Vista Hospital. Couldn't be more pleased, no pain at all, drinking water and getting my protein has been a breeze.

Has anyone tried the unjury cheese sauce?

Not yet, but I just put in an order for some on Unjury.com.

    Self Sabotage

Don't panic, nobody is 100% perfect all of the time, recognize what you did and carry on doing the right thing instead of worrying. As for your usual cycle, maybe counseling would help? Some people use their weight as a sort of defense mechanism, not saying you are one of those but maybe you should think about it.

Surgery date: 10/31/13 Highest weight: 345 Surgery weight: 330 Current weight: 330? Haven't weighed in yet, waiting til post op appointment. Thankfully I am having no issue with getting my Protein and liquids down, I'm more than a little surprised how easy it is, actually!

    How soon is too soon?

I know, I want to start exercising too, but I'm going to wait a month then hire a personal trainer. There is plenty of time to do it, no need to tempt fate.

    3 days post op

I was sleeved on the 31st. No hiccups but I have had the ball of air stuck in my throat painful feeling. I just force myself to burp some and it usually goes away.

    How should you drink water

Oddly enough I can gulp water with no problems and I am 2 days out. I try to slow down and keep it to sips though.

    Bathroom Habits

Hey Topnotch, your post is really hard to read, maybe consider increasing the font size a tad?

    Bathroom Habits

I don't expect to have to poop much until I am off the clear liquids stage. I was just sleeved two days ago and haven't really had to go at all.

    My journey begins

Just hang in there and follow your surgeons instructions to the letter, have faith, you will get there.

    Hungry 4 days post op

I just had it on the 31st and not hungry at all. Could it be head hunger you are experiencing?
  22. Someguy1383837857

    Odd question but Help!

Could be vitamins causing that, I started taking a B complex and my urine suddenly became neon yellow. Also if you aren't drinking enough water it could have a big effect.

It seems like everyday is a struggle.

Though I haven't felt that way yet I would not be surprised if I go through what you are going through eventually. I think it is entirely normal because you are making such a drastic change to your habits and life. Just try to keep in mind WHY you did this to begin with. I think it is safe to say that everyone who has this surgery love their food and love to eat, but too much of anything is bad for you. You aren't totally breaking up with food, you just need to modify your relationship a bit!

    don't screw up or else?

Real mature that some people hijack this thread and fill it full of mindless bs in order to drown out the original posters message. People acting like a bunch of petulant highschoolers should be ashamed of themselves. Frankly I think the OP was giving that other person a dose of tough love. So go back under your bridges trolls and stop bringing the community down to your level.

    October Sleevers - Who else

I was sleeved the 31st and immediately upon going home the same day I was able to drink all my liquids and protein shakes. Haven't vomited or felt nauseous yet. Sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble, maybe your stomach is just more swollen than mine is and you just need a bit more time to heal? I can drink so much it makes me wonder if my doc just poked five holes in me and called it a day.
