I noticed a bump in my weight as well when I got home and the first thought I had was "heeeeay that's not cool!" but I figured the same as you it was Fluid from the IV. And it seems to be shedding off now pretty easily.

Overnight stay for me as well. Surgery at 2:15, discharged the next day around 3:30. They made sure I was walking, urinating, passing glass, and able to keep down both water and 2oz of optisource "shake" before sending me on my way.

Amen to that! Sleeping on my back right now is a terrible thing but on the side with my body pillow is letting me get some good sleep, that and my lazyboy chair. I just finished my 1st walk around the culdesac and feel good but tired! I can't wait until it stops hurting to swallow, at two days post surgery I know I just have to be patient.

My surgery was on the 25th, I was told it went very smoothly. I felt like a mule kicked me in the gut lol but with the pain meds I was able to cat nap very well. The co2 went into the tissue if my right shoulder and is probably the most painful thing so far. Walk, walk, walk. the only other issue I've really had seems to be a hard time swallowing my fluids (feels like I'm gulping air when I know I haven't) which seems to also be pretty common. I find it helps some if I'm standing/walking when I'm drinking.

I'm here no and there's no going back my surgery was yesterday afternoon. Apparently it went very smooth, and ignoring the fact I feel like a mule kicked me in the gut I'm doing well.

Hey everyone Just a question for those already sleeved, about how much did you loose in your first 3 weeks to a month? Now I know everyone looses differently and you can't judge one persons loss by another's but I'm curious to get an averaged number from a large pool of people. Thanks for any and all replies.

Wow, everyone has done amazing! thank you all so much for your replies. This give me a better idea as to what to expect.

I was told I would have to stay at least overnight, possibly more depending on my walking, drinking and pain management... I'm on a deductible an and the hospital stay isn't covered ($500 a night) so I really hope I get to go home the next day lol.

*raises hand* only a few days more for me. I'm getting sleeved on the 25th.

I've been going through the same exact fears (surgery date is the 25th). I've done just about everything... diets pills ect. and often I would lose weight but I would always gain it back. So I know what you're going through. Be strong we'll get through this and be better for it in the long run.

I've been working towards getting the surgery done for a while, from all my lab work, mental evaluation etc to my pre surgery weight loss. well all of a sudden I got a surgery date (25th) and am starting my 800 cal two weeks today. It just feels like I've been jogging and all of a sudden I'm running full tilt to the end. ... and I'm scared. All the fears are slamming down on me, will the surgery go OK? Will I fail at eating well? Will I loose the weight? Will my boyfriend still love me? Will the skin shrink down? On and on and on. So rather then continue to spin in fear filled mental circles I figured I would post here, to contact others on this same journey. Hello everyone.
