  2. Happy 52nd Birthday stever1!

  3. 4 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 4th Anniversary stever1!

  4. Thanks to all your responses. I had the surgery on 08-01-07 and to date have lost 48 lbs. I feel very good and would highly recommend Dr. Denham to anyone in the area, he and his staff are great.
  5. If its killing you, EAT THE FRY!!, not the whole order. I have found that you will drive yourself nuts if you keep thinking about it. Nothing will satisfy you. Go ahead and eat 1 or 2 fries, this will curb your need. Just remember any food is ok in moderation. Steve
  6. Yes, I am only 9 days out and feeling great. No problems and I am not hungry.
  7. I had bypass 11 years ago, and 4 years ago had stents put in , and neither was a problem. I had my surgery 8/1 and the doctors kept me overnight in ICU because of the past heart problems, but that all. Feel great now.
  8. I am only 8 days after surgery and I can tolerate regular food. Is this ok, normal, or bad. I am eating very small amounts, and I am never hungry, what gives? I started with liquids and progressed through soft foods, but have now over the last couple of days tried oatmeal, a couple of small pieces of bagle, some cut up chicken, a scrambled egg, and everything has gone down fine. I am sticking to very small amounts of everything, but so far no complications. Am I lucky, or is because I have had no adjustments? Any comments would be welcomed. Steve
  9. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Dr. Denham out of Evanston or Highland Pk. hospitals?
  10. My first consult was Sep. 06 and I'm having surgery Aug 1st. 11 months for me. Steve

    Soon to be banded

I feel the same way. I am getting banded on Aug. 1st, Good Luck. Steve
  12. Hi Everyone, I am new to your site and thought I would like to jump in. I am going to be banded Aug 1st at Highland Park hospital, and was wondering if there was any last minute advice? I have thought about this for a year and still not 100% sure I want to do this. I want the weight loss, but not the change. I want to eat a steak after I lose the weight, maybe even a can of diet coke. I know these things will not happen, and losing the weight is more important, but I'm still not positive. I appreciate your words of encouragement and know in my heart this is the right thing. I need to lose 120 lbs and don't want bypass. Thanks, Steve from Chicago
