    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

I was sleeved on 12/2 and I went back to work yesterday! I spoke to my physician about my need to get back sooner unless I absolutely couldn't. I'm a physician. I feel great though. Have no pain unless I sit a certain way. Not on meds. I was very proactive about walking the days after surgery. I have a gym in my building and would just walk.... I'm also young with no other issues besides obesity. So each person is different.

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Okay. So I'm post op day 3. I still have trouble getting liquids down and gas pain. I pop gas x like its candy! I've been only able to drink 1/2 of isopure. I hope to finish it today though. I stole the incentive spirometer from the hospital to keep working on the deep breathing. I'm trying to keep walking around my apartment and keep the incisional pain under control. I'm an Ob/gyn and have to go back to work on Sunday... Mistake #1. I hope I'm feeling a little better by then. Warmer liquids are easier to get down than cold ones. Sometimes when I move I get a sharp pain that makes me think "what the hell did I do to myself" and regret the whole thing! But I know I need to push forward and the pain doesn't last for long!
  11. My goal is to lose 200 lbs!!!

That's a good idea! I'm so addicted to my scale though. I check it several times a day. I need to scale back (pun intended).

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

I'm feeling good. The only incision that hurts is the one by my belly button. I've been sleeping a lot since I've been home too. I've only had to take one pain pill today. Because the ride home was a bit bumpy! I'm still just drinking water and soup. Was told to start my protein shakes tomorrow. So I'm anxious to see how those go down.

I'm home!!! Got on the scale and gained 3 lbs since being in the hospital for 2 days! It has to be water weight because all I was able to choke down was jello water and soup
