ok, today only, i have been feeling like my throat is narrowed and my own spit cant pass. Now when i eat my food its ok, when i drink its ok.. but i had some gum, and the sugars seemed to slow... ok, i know this was graphic, but i wonder has any felts this feeling in your throat. I did okay this weekend and i am able to eat my food fine with my 3ccs, but cant figure this out... miriam

ALoha ladies, Sorry you missed you two. I waited so to meet up with you but i had a meeting for one of my students late. It was our 16th anniversary too, so we went out and had fun. I got my first fill yesterday of 3ccs. Doing ok, and dont notice anything different. I am terribly thristy though and have been lushing it up with water. Baby's party was nice but im exhausted. This was a crack up for me, but i totally knew how you felt when i was in that stage. My hubby of 16 yrs ate the most pungent raw fish meal that i like in front of me and i wanted his head!! Hang tough girl... mes

Hey Lisa, I am working out at curves because i cant get to 24hr fitness. I will be there at Fowler's office on Friday for my first fill. Im scared now to get it after hearing so many stories... How much did you get the first time Lisa?? Any others?

No, they are just saying not in the first few weeks. I drink coffee maybe even two cups and i am nearly 8 wks out.. mes

I called HMSA to check out the verbage on how fills are covered under my plan. I have PPO and i learned that the fills(adjustments) are covered as part of the initial surgery for the first 90 days. So we really shouldnt be paying $250 for these fills. However, she said it depends on what the doctor is doing at the time. They can bill the insurance for something else (use another code) then you would have to pay. I hope that the doc is billing for exactly that, the adjustment so that it would be covered. I mean office visits are covered post op yes??? Anybody else been there with this issue already at Fowler's office. Miriam

Wow , sounds like you were seriously dehydrated. Not, good. You should visit your ER and get some fluids. Nope, never happened to me and im six weeks post op. mes

Hi Ladies, I hope you enjoyed your holiday. I did finally. I was worried I wasnt going to make it to Thanksgiving. Thanks for you concern Carmen, i was really bus up that day. My kids had a stomach bug and i was cleaning up vomit for days before. My baby got it too and that was hard for me, because she is so tiny still yet. I have been trying to keep weight on her and she got it, so it was rough. I lost a good 5lbs from it but i never threw up!! I got better enough to make a nice thanksgiving dinner for everybody with the help of my son. He was so good worked with me in the kitchen for hours.. what 16 yr old you know will do that!! They rather run away ya... Anyway, I did fill my plate, but i ate it over 3 sittings.. I guess i couldnt get away from the portion but i couldnt consume all anyway... How did everybody do with their meals??? I STILL need to work on chewing,... i havent totally modified that behavior yet. Especially if im distracted.... which mostly is the case when im eating. Aloha Ladies, I was wondering how is everybody doing. Ready for thanksgiving.?? Anybody scared like me? I was worried about eating too much, but i think my stomach bug takes care of that. Sad thing is its going thru my whole family. I dont know if most will be able to eat the dinner that I make or wheather I will be able to even make it.. Aloha Ladies, Good to hear from you. Well, im 6wks post op today. I tried to program my loss in the ticker and it rounded my .25 to .3 I have lost 29lbs 19lbs post band. I delayed my fill until after Thanksgiving. I'm now in a size 18 from 22/24. My old pregnant belly still needs works. I can get in the skinny jeans but the waist remains an issue. I will do the fill on the 30th, but hubby wants me to go without, says i think you can do it... ok, thats the skinny hubby talking. I wont be able to meet some of you now. I have a very late student meeting that day scheduled for 4:30-6pm for one of my seniors. Trying to get this kid graduated. Some of you have heard about my kids, they are good, and baby is nearly one. Yippee! Mes

Yes, have her join our thread. We have lots of info in our Hawaii pre and post bansters group. Dr. Fowler, 808-263-5176 does fills here on Oahu. There are also docs in Queens Hospital and Kaiser. What type of insurance does she have?? Mes

The Xmas potluck is Dec 12th in same place. The thanksgiving one was nice. We have pumpkin soup and pumpkin pie. Carmen, when is your fill?? mes

Also, what stage of foods are you in, you should be making a slow transition from liquids(clear) to full liquids(soups) to mushies ) ie.. yogart, mash potates ( to softs -scrambled eggs.. to regular food....

You wont get your first fill until you're 4-6 wks post surgery. I havent even had mine yet. Im banded 10/2

i have been there and done with six kids of my own and 5 or them special needs. I had some family drama too the days and weeks before, but i got folks back on track and went thru with my surgery plans. I would get him stable then move onto scheduling.. this is for you and in the long run, he needs you to be there for him... mes

Yes, I have this too. I was told its scar tissue. If i wear an underwire bra and we big girls need one, it bulges out. Good thing i keep this stuff covered.. aloha

I can only say, go for the talk with your dad with every conviction you have. You need to address these issues so you can move on and be more success in all your endeavors. If you don't you will forever play those told tapes, its those are partially want causes use to eat or over eat. Aloha..
