    Feb 2014 Surgery?

Hey Jamie I'm scheduled Feb 4 Mi Hospital. Do you have your date? W
  3. Italian Curves, How are you feeling? How would you rate the hospital? Your Dr? etc. W
  4. Hello! Not being sleeved until Feb 2014 but gathering my info and product slowly but surely. The multi Vitamin lingo is over my head and so is comparing vitamin labels/content. Are the veterans here for or against: Special bariatric Vitamins? Tks! W
  5. Hey Beth, Lots of suggestions for 200% RDA. I look at a few Bariatric Hospital recommendations such as Peachtree and another COE in Ohio. Two multis /day seems the most recommended. After going back and forth I think I'll follow your path and go with a bariatric line for first 3 mths. There is no getting around it: they just contain more (esp minerals). They must be shipped to canada so after 3mths I'll switch to something more readily available here. Even calcium wafers not available here. argh. That's the plan. For now. Subject to change anytime haha
  6. Thanks for all the info, I will cross towels and washcloths from my "To Bring" List. I wish you fabulous success!! I won't see you though, I'm going in Feb!! W
  7. I have seen mention of 200% RDA in several places (one @ breakie and one @ lunch). Anyone taking this dose? Also 1000 mg calcium citrate. Chewable or caps or does it matter? Tks W.
  8. After a think in the shower: I could be wrong on the carbs in the concentrate. Easy enough to check, should be on the labels. Happy shopping! W
  9. My take is a little different from Kramer's. Although I can't speak to taste as I am in research (pre-op) stage only. After researching whey almost all yesterday, this is what I came to understand: Whey Protein Isolate vs Whey Protein Concentrate Isolate is your first choice as easier/better absorption and no carbs. Concentrate does contain carbs. Sorry Kramer You must be a smart shopper and read the labels. Avoid if you can the isolate/concentrate combinations. Although better than straight concentrate I suppose, though to what degree it's impossible to say. From the isolate label take the grams of protein per serving divide by number of grams per serving and that will give you your percentage. IE Protein: 25 grams per serving One serving: 1 scoop (28 grams) 25(div)28 = 89% Hope this helps and not too much info. W Disclaimer: I am not an expert. Just passing on what I learned during my recent research.
  10. Hey Kramer! Back atcha!! haha
  11. Thanks Beth! North of the border we just don't have near as much readily available and ordering from the US can really suck.Especially if one orders the wrong thing. All good now. However, I did notice the RDA is 200% you all following that guideline? W
  12. Joatsaint, Thank you I found your reply really helpful. W
  13. Oh William! Ya got me!!! haha I'm in BC and at first I could only find children's chewable, even @ Costco:( Now found Centrum and Jamison chewable at London Drugs so I'm good now. Thanks all, decision made. W
  14. Thanks for taking the time. I've done so much research...me arse is flat! Would love it if a nurse could weigh in. W.
