I need some advice on my exercise plan. I am currently 8 weeks out from sleeve surgery and I was released for exercise with no restrictions. I am noticing that my skin is sagging especially in the arms, thighs and belly (apron was already sagging but.. ). I need to get on a good exercize/weightlifting plan. I need to know what is the best way to help tone and help with the sagginess? Should I be doing weightlifting? If so how many reps/sets/weight? Should I be trying to do as much weight as I can handle or should I focus on more reps/sets versus heavier weight? I'm not looking to bulk up I just want to tone up. The weight is still melting off because I have a good nutrition plan so I'd like to keep this the same as well. I'm not looking to burn a lot of calories because I am holding steadt at 1000 per day with about 80g protein daily. Also... with our water intake not as much as regular stomachs is a sauna ok? I usually get around 6-8 cups of water a day not including my protein shake. Any and all advice would be great. Thanks for reading.

Hello I am looking for fellow WLS people that live in Reno, Nv that can be a workout buddy. I am getting a membership to fitness for 10 on S. Virginia steet at Longley. They seem to have the best deal. Only $10 a month and no startup fees which is what I cannot afford haha. Anyways I plan to be working out in the evenings like 4:30ish or sometimes I work late so it will be around 10:00-11:00am during break. So if anyone is available I'd like to workout with ya.

I know. U are so right. Its just so hard because I want him to be around ya know. And It makes it very hard for me to stay on track. I hope he sees me lose weight and he decides to do something about it. Maybe I will just be so proud of myself everyday and happy that he wants to be that way to.

I would really like some encouragement from friends but I do not know anyone on myfitnesspal. I'd like to see what others are eating so that I can get some ideas. My email is call.chrissy@yahoo.com

I hope he does change some of his ways when he sees me losing weight. Right now he just doesn't care about it. He says he kniws he's fat and he's ok with it. I know that it bothers him a little bit but I doubt enough for him to consider surgery. He eats so fast and his bites and porti ok he are huge. Yes I am always invited whe. He goes anywhere. We are best friends and do everything together. I think he maybe mourning my eating with him to. Yes he is over weight to. Probably about 80-100lbs

Hello everyone. I had surgery on October 21, 2013. I had a really hard time the first couple of weeks mourning. I was crying everyday with regret. My husband was so supportive. Reassuring me that things will get better even though he could not relate because he has not had the surgery. Now I am 4 weeks out and I can nibble on lretty much anything but I haven't tried chicken again because I tried it to soon and had a bad experience. Anyways... it seems that he is becoming less supportive now. I think it might be because I am constantly on him about his eating out. He comments that it is no different than before I had the surgery and he is right. I just feel like I wish he would eat at home. I mean I have been offering to make him what he wants and have it ready when he gets home but most of the time he just wants to eat out. And it is not my cooking lol cause I know how to cook. I just don't know what to do. I feel like I am constantly nagging him. I confess its partially because I cannot eat all these things anymore but its also because I worry about his health. He Is only 36 and takes diabetic, high blood pressure and gerd medicines. When I try to talk to him about it he just doesn't want to hear it or he makes jokes. I just don't know what to do.

I do eat things that I can chew very well. Does the funnel/gurgle feeling last? Will I always be soooo overly concerned about food going down? -

I confess that I have advanced my post op diet from "1-3 weeks on liquids" to puree in the second week. And I am now just begining week four and I have squeezed smooth foods and soft foods into the same time period. I ate half a piece of pizza last night. I ate kettle corn "probably like 4 cups" over the past week. I ate a few bites of a grilled cheese sammich. I confess that I feel like I can fot more into my pouch than my post op book says that I should be able to. That makes me feel like something is wrong. I get so paranoid that every little ache or pain near my stomach area is because I have made it stretch and now I have a leak. I am so surprised that I am tolerating everything I put in my mouth. Breads, sugar, etc... but on the other hand it helps my emotional state because the first few weeks, and ocassionaly to this day, I mourn over food. Sometimes I just want to eat and swallow normal. I look at other people and think "I bet they have all of their stomach and can eat normal". I've even had fantasies about having a stomach transplant so that I can feel normal again. Lol. I am starting to feel better because I am starting to eat more normal foods just not as much. I kind a feel like everything is a waste because I cannot eat much of the serving. I feel bad because it takes me so long to chew my bite just so I can make sure it goes down. I listen for the gurgle or feel for a funnel feeling (is that normal?). I am sure there is more but dang it I can't think of any right now. -
