How much did you lose at 3 months?
grandmaof2 replied to cushy's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I wonder the same thing. I had my sleeve on Feb 3rd and I have lost 40 lbs as of yesterday! Doing the happy dance for sure...but I feel like I see others who have lost so much more and wonder if I am doing something "wrong" -
I LOVE/LOVED coffee...when I could start drinking it I COULDN"T stand the taste! I try every single day to have a cup and I just can't do it. My tastebuds certainly have changed!

I weigh myself at least twice a day. Again, like others it helps me to be accountable to myself. If I notice a fluctuation then I know perhaps I DO need to drink more Water and just exercise me. It is not an obsession but like my Fitness Pal app. It is just something I have to keep track of. I am only 6 weeks out and I have hit a stall. I am down 26 lbs and I have to step it up in the exercise dept and walk more and drink more. I signed up for this so it is my job to do it right. Good luck to everyone and as long as what you are doing is working for you then you are doing a GREAT JOB!

My surgery was Feb 3rd and I am down 25 lbs. My husband sees me everyday and he said he sorta sees it. Well yesterday, we were visiting family and he came around the corner from the kitchen to the Living room and said he had to look twice because he said WOW you really have lost weight God I love that guy! A co-worker today said are you losing weight? I said yes I am. He said keep up the good work your looking great! I love my life right now.

Biggest regrets about getting the sleeve?
grandmaof2 replied to NewSetOfCurves's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am so glad to see this post...my lap band to sleeve surgery is Feb 3rd. I am nervous but excited too. I have a friend who had the lap band and then converted to the sleeve and when I asked her if she had any regrets she simply said that she wished she would have done this first. Don't get me wrong...I loved the band. I lost 90 lbs with it. I had back surgery and knee surgery after the band and I ended up gaining weight. I ended up with Acid reflux (the band got to tight) and I ignored it. The band has now slipped and I opted for the sleeve. I know that this time I will be very diligent with the "rules" for the sleeve and know that it is only going to be as good as I am. Ultimately it is up to me. It is a tool that I have to follow the instructions on. Good luck to all of you and may you be blessed with happiness and heath
