Yes there are rude and thoughtless people in this world but this is YOUR journey and you have to do it on your terms ! I'm sorry this happened to you but keep on keeping on. There will always be those that want to express CONCERN for you and don't think or know how tough this process is! Keep a smile on your face and politely tell them to BUTT OUT! -

I feel like im never going to feel normal again..
dbsylvest replied to Leesa in MD's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
It will get better! I'm 2mos. post and down 60 lbs it has been up and down with the feeling normal. I still have days that I think will this ever get easier ,but then I remind my self with all the good that has happened. Like being able to move better, off most of ny meds, no cpac machine, no insulin (and I was on a lot) ,plus the energy that I have I hadn't seen in years! Not to mention the 60 lbs gone! This is the best thing I've done for myself and it is a life style change. Give your body time to heal and follow your doctors plan, call him if you can't get your protein and fluids in. -
I've been were you are, the fear the uncertainty , is God in this, and a whole lot of what ifs! I'm 8 weeks post and it is the best thing I've ever done! Yes it's challenging but given all the thing I no longer have to deal with it's well worth it no more insulin, no acid reflux sleep apn better , can say I breath so much better, joint pain better plus the 50 lb weight loss erasures me I can do this. I know this is a Long term track but as aposed to the one I was on this is 100% better good luck you will love your new you!

I'm still using Protein shakes for most of my protein a an trying some sold foods that doesn't see to be a problem. Mornings seem to be the worst . Any help appreciated, thanks
