I was not your typical wls patient. I was not hundreds of pounds overweight. I actually had medical issues due to obesity, so my surgery wasnt so much about the fact I was overweight but more the fact that I had health related issues. You name it I had it. My mom had passed away a few years prior at 57 and my husband and I knew I would follow if I didnt get my health issues under control. So that led me to wanting to get the lapband. After going to an overview of all the surgeries I chose the Gastric Sleeve. I am now almost 2 years out and I have never better happier. I can actually play with my kids and get up and down the stairs without hurting. This is by far the best decision I have ever made!
