Who was your dr eggswithslegs

Weight day of op 118 kg (perth story) Day one was fine. I was in surgery first up 8am, Barack to my room at 10.30am. I had minimal pain and discomfort until 6.30pm when the nausea started. I was being sick every 45-60 mins. Not much sleep night one. Day two didn't change. I had to have my swallow test postponed for a few hours while they tried to reduce my vomiting. I must have had three injections and countless things put in my IV. Did the swallow, pretty nasty actually. Vomiting easing by night, but didn't completely stop until 4am. Day three and still in hospital. Vomiting stopped early this morning and I can finally start sipping my Water. It's slow going. Walked the corridors a few times, showered and relaxing with gossip girl. Preying for a good night sleep. And that my surgeon lets me go home tomorrow.

Day 5 Struggled to get all my fluids in. Had two drinking yoghurts which were a nice surprise. A few sustagens. Will try harder tomorrow

Day four - surgeon came in this morning. Yippee, I'm aloud to go home today. Bit of an unsettled night, had some discomfort in my right side, not sure why. Hurts when I pee and if I moved suddenly. Had first BM today. And was taken off IV in the middle of the night. Apple juice this morning was like the best present ever. No scales yet, but hopefully didn't gain to much from all the IV fluids.

Thanks. It feels better to know that I wasn't alone feeling this way. Still not nauseas now, 28hrs not being sick. Drinking my fluids.

This Thursday for me - feeling nervous
-
Was your surgeon dr dolan? It seems strange that you have been able to eat those types of foods already. I go in on Thursday. This isn't sounding what I expect from the sleeve.

So this Thursday is my surgery day. I had only told my husband and my parents up until now. I had my band removed 8 weeks ago, and was ashamed to tell his family, I couldn't handle them judging me. So today I wrote out what seemed like and easy text message, but wasn't... It took all my will to say that I am embarrassed of my weight, my failure with band. I'm ashamed I can't do this on my own. Talk about a moment of reflection, I prey that I don't fail at this one. CW 264

Than you. I guess I had never had to say it out aloud before. That I failed. It was confronting. I know I am doing it for the right reasons.

I'm being sleeved 1/16 and really appreciate your posts. I had my band out 7 weeks ago. Not looking forward to another surgery. Them pain in the shoulder really was unbareable. It's just trapped air. Mine took about 12 days to go

Before and After at a Month and a Half

Not tight at all. Keep up the good work. 44lbs is an awesome loss. -
I'm in the same boat. I had my band out 4weeks ago after having it since 2005. I had success early and lost 80lbs, but gradually put it on after having two children. I've been struggling since the removal, food is my enemy. I am scheduled for my sleeve on the 16 January. Looking forward to following you all on our journeys x

Revision Surgery Wait Time Between Band To Sleeve
mumoftwo replied to Midijola's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I'm in Australia. Dr Dolan took my band out 3weeks ago. I am booked in for the sleeve in 5weeks. He is extremely experienced in revisions. I am so happy without my band, but have piled on 5kgs in 3weeks. So unhappy about that!!!!! -
Ok, so tomorrow is the day I get my band out. I have had it for 8yrs with success the first year then nothing but troubles since. I will then have 8weeks of trying not to over indulge before my surgeon does my sleeve. So nervous but excited for the coming months. Good luck for everyone having surgery tomorrow

Hi all Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of the pain associated with the air the surgeon puts in your chest during surgery. I had my band removed 4 days ago and the pain in my shoulder from the air is unbareable. Thanks in advance 7 1/2 weeks til my sleeve
-
Thanks everyone. A heat pack and pain meds helped last night, and I did a lot of walking today. Significantly less pain tonight
