  1. All your are saying sounds very familiar to me. A little here a little there. And you're right, why sabotage this unbelievable opportunity I have to be able to lose weight. We had surgery the same month-let's stay in touch.

    Question

I haven't had any since my surgery but know I liked them in the past. Like BigGirlPanties said, they are full of sodium, sometimes high in fat, etc. They are portioned controlled which is nice.
  3. My mother is the same way. It is sad. I ask my Dad how he keeps doing it day after day. He said because he remembers when...when she was beautiful, when she would smile etc., and this will be a short time until they will both be whole again.

    Post Op infection

It is too bad that we can't track the infection rates from elsewhere. I think the people that helped me facilitate my surgery should keep track also of the reported infections. BUT... I think the hospitals and the medical tourisim people really don't care as long as they get their money. There is no follow up from the doctors once one crosses that border back into the U.S. And I only recieved a questionare from Mexico Bariactrics when all was said and done with no response about the infections or chipped tooth. But truthfully, I knew it was probably going to be like this and I would still do it again. I do feel it was too bad though that I did have to go this avenue because my insurance made it too difficult to do it state side. I will have to do a tummy tuck so I have decided to do it here in the U.S. and suck it up and sell my first born to pay for it. (mmm? He's 35, do you think he'll go for it?)

    Post Op infection

I too got an infection at Hospital MI. I don't know if it was what you had but I kept telling them it was infected and they kept assuring me that it was not. When I was home I had so much pus oozing out of my large incision I went into urgent care and got antibiotics. I still after 3 1/2 months out have irritation and even mild pain on the incision sight.
  7. Don't worry. Different doctor. Also, remember nobody cares about you but you. So be vigilant in watching what they do to you and what drugs they give you. And like I said, I would do it again.
  8. I too had Valenzuela. Had an infection with the large incision and still wondering at 7 weeks out if it will ever quit hurting/irritating. It seems that maybe some of that heavy fish line they use as sutures has not dissolved and the skin has grown over. I'm still not sure Valenzuela even did my surgery. I saw her for 5 minutes in my room but never in the operating room and never after. Did see that good looking young doctor called Carlos. (?) And I wondered if he is a doctor for he walked in my room and saw my naked breast and did such an about face that it made me think he wasn't use to naked bodies like most doctors are. The staff did try to double up on drugs one day but my husband caught it in time. My tooth was chipped slightly from the surgery too. And yes, all in all, I would do it again.
