    does it get better?

To charliemom24 Yes it gets better. I am 3 months out and now feel great most days. Some days I can't eat a lot of foods and have to use Protein drinks to ensure that I get all of my protein and Vitamins. And I am loosing weight slow and steady which is ok with me. I say all of that to say l; give your body some time things will get better. Good luck and congrats.

    Are you COLD?

I am always cold also. As a matter of fact my feet are freezing right now. It is a pain but I would rather be cold and slim then fat and warm. I'm sure ya'll all feel the same.

    Driving Right After Surgery?

I went back to work after 9 days. I sit all day and live a20 min drive away from work. The only issue I had was lifting heavy/semi heavy things. Also it was difficult to concentrate on work and get all of my protein and water in. I am actually still having an issue with that since I am just not hungry. By the way I was sleeved on 10-17-13.

    Fitbit Vs Up

Yes Ekmw it really does help keep me motivated. I catch myself wanting to beat my own score and to be more active. That is huge for a person like me that hates to exercise.

    Fitbit Vs Up

I have a fitbit and love it. I've been using it for about 2 weeks. It tracks everything from calories burned to steps taken and it tracks food eaten.

Any tips for long midnight shifts?

I realize that this thread is months old but I will reply anyway. Like you I work in dispatch. I am very familiar with the hobby of eating while at work especially on the midnight shift. I am 5 weeks out and although I cheat sometimes I don't cheat often. I bring 2 Protein Shakes to work with me and try to drink 8 cups of Water too keep me full. I walk as soon as I get off of work for 2 miles. Then have a Jello cup for snack. Not sure if you've heard of this but I have started using a fitbit. You wear it on your wrist 24/7 and it tracks your food and water intake. Also your calories and exercised are tracked.

    I'm Having A Minor Melt-Down

I think it's normal to feel a sense of loss. I am beginning to gather my size 18 clothes to donate them and like you I would shop to make myself feel better. So needless to say I spent a lot of money on very nice clothes.
  14. Hello. I was sleeved by Dr. Samir Patel of Atlanticare. He was excellent both before the surgery and after. The nurses at the Atlanticare hospital were phenomenal. If you would like more info google the dr or pm. Good luck in your quest.
