Megan, I have tried that and it is very good. I also like the new Tropicana Orange-aid sugar-free (of course). It reminds me very much of Tang and it is sold in twelve packs like my...sniff sniff....Diet Cokes.

LOL...I just love ya'll! I have never had a jade plant. I do however have 7 African Violets that seem to thirve. I just wick them and they grow beautifully. I may have to get a Jade and try my luck with it....

Pssst...I am an office manager for a dermatologist. What you gals say is true: It feels like a rubber band being popped against the skin. I have had treatments for the past 6 years. Not all in one place. But we are busy and I only get treated about every 6 months to a year, but it is free so what the heck! I only have about ten dark hairs growing still under my right arm and about five under my left arm. I have had six treatments. My Medical Assistant is good. I have no swelling or red after effects after I have been treated. We also apply a post laser gel after the treatment. Neova makes a good one. We too have the Cool Touch Laser. Rhonda, my MA has only had time to laser the hairs on my left leg once. Not at all on my right leg. Let me tell you, there is about half the amount of hairs growing on my left leg now. We also order a numbing gel from North Hollywood California that is pretty costly but works the best. Works great! I would recommend it to anyone!!

OK..after reading all of those, I have to add one... An elderly man and woman went to the doctors office and told the doctor that they want to have a baby. The confused doctor says, "Well, the first thing I will need is a sperm sample. Take this jar home and I will see you next week with the 'sample'." A week passes and the little old couple come storming thru the doctor's office and march right up to the doctor and slam the empty container on the counter. "What happened? Couldn't you get a sample?" the doctor asked. 'Let me tell you something sonny." the woman explained, " I tried with my right hand, I tried with my left hand, He tried with his right hand, and then he tried with his left hand. I tried with my teeth in and with my teeth out, and we still could not get the lid off this bottle!" That one always makes me giggle!!

I have heard of kernal-less popcorn. check the grocery store next time you are there. People who I know who have eaten it usually have irritated bowel or some other digestive problems.

Hey Mark! Welcome to LapBandTalk! I sing, but everyone tells me I shouldn't...LOL. I too am 40 (ugh), and got my Band this past Thursday. Here it is 4 days later, I am at work, which is a desk job, it is 1:30 pm and I am very whooped. i agree with the others, you should probably find a sub for at least this gig. I hope you recover quickly from your band. I too am in the DFW area, let me know when you perform, I'd love to hear ya!

Dallas Doll, Welcome to the club! I just joined a couple of weeks agao and could not have found a better bunch of people to sound off to and get advice from! I too am in the DFW area. I got my band Thursday and I have to tell you, this was my first surgery I have ever had and I am doing great! My advice on the liquid diet is the same thing my doctor put me on, Myocel. It is made especially for people who are having weightloss surgeries. Some other Bandsters are getting theirs from GNC or the store. You just have to try and see what you like best. E-mail me anytime, who is doing your surgery?

Hey ya'll! How did ya'll know I was gonna ask these questions??? hehe! I got banded thursday and just took a shower for the first time. My nephew walked down the street with me and back. I am an office mananger for a dermatologist and am planning to be at work Monday. No lifting, just sitting answering the phones. This was my first surgery I have ever had. I think I am bouncing back pretty well....

Yall are sick, SICK I TELL YA!!! hehe!!! My favorite is Bologna sandwiches with miracle whip and fritos on it. Yummy. Peanut butter sandwiches with honey or with bananas. Also like Kraft deluxe mac and chees with tuna in it.smells like cat food!! ummm...what else did I eat.. Oatmeal sandwiches, oatmeal on buttered toast eaten openfaces. The sam wiht spagetti on buttered bread with the meatsauce.

Jenna, Question, how did you walk too much? I want to walk, but not overdo it..

LOL...yes was looking up directions to the dr office and saw the post. Made it to the appt on time...LOL Proactive works for some but not all. The same thing with rxs given by your dermatologist. It is finding the "sweet spot" (hehe) of orals and topicals to clear you up. I like the topical cream called Tazorac. It is also used for wrinkles..hehe!! Works miracles for me. I will probably have to switch back to just topicals after surgery. Spirnolactone pills are HUGE!!!! Could take a while to crush them. Might make two meals out of them...LOL!! If ya'll (yes I am in Texas) have any concerns, just let me know and I will ask the nurse here in my office, if anyone of you are in the DFW area, let me know. I will hook you up with my doctor.

Karri, Thanks for the words of encouragement! I am scheduled as his first case on Thursday at 7:30 am...hmmm...do I want to be first? A doctor with not enough coffee or a doctor with too much coffee? I wonder which is worse...LOL

LOL...Here is a question I can really help with!! I actually am an office manager for a dermatologist! hehe! Go back and see your dermatologist. There are so many medications out on the market that no one should have to suffer with adult acne or rosacea! What I found that works best for me (everyone is different) is a pill called Spirnolactone. It is actually a water pill. But it is good at treating acne. The latest and greatest is called the blue light. We just got one at our office and we are testing (ok, playing) with the other girls in the office that have acne. Rosacea is tricky but can be dealt with with oral antibiotics and a solution called Metrogel or Metro lotion..I will write more later, 30 min to my pre-op...but call your dermatologist! Love ya guys!!!

Are you sure Surg Center of Richardson is out of network for UHC? Ask the billing person how the facility fee will be billed to UHC. If Dr Benavides is in network (which he is, I have the same ins as you), then how can they use a Surgery center out of network? It kinda defeats the purpose of getting approved, ya know what I mean? Most surgery centers take almost all insurances due to the variety of doctors and procedures performed there. UHC is a big one in the DFW area. All of American Airlines, some of Verizon, and some other big ones that I can't remember are on UHC.

I am scheduled to have surgery with them this Thursday. I am having to pay out of pocket the $15,000. They are on several insurances. Mine just totally excluded obesity surgery of any kind. What insurance do you have?

WTG!!! I am so happy for you! I can't really welcome you to band land since my surgery is this week! LOL I am glad to hear that all is well. I am a little nervous about my surgery. I have never had surgery before, not even an IV. Plus, my rides to get banded are disappearing. Funny, I always help out others but the one time I need help, they are all busy. Still waiting to see if my sister from south Texas can come up.

I wish I had thought of it first! LOL!!! My boss's name is James Bond and I am his office manager. I get called a Bond girl, Q, and Money Penney all the time.. If you are anything like me, I went to my psych. consult and my co-workers were taking bets that she would not let me back out of her office. That she would call the men in white coats and have me hauled away! Needless to say, I ran out of her door!!! LOL!! Keep smilin' your time is comin!!!
