Has anyone used or heard of Dr. Hall in Wylie? My sister went to one his seminars on Thursday. She is wanting the band badly but he and his staff kept pushing gastic bypass. He says that he will do Lapband but would not recommend it. What a bunch of bull! I don't feel comfrtable with my sister using him, but she feels confident. Just wanted to see what anyone else thought of him. Unfortunately, he is the only one in this area on her insurance.

I got a call from Dr. Benevides office and they have asked me to be a part of an Info-mercial on the Lap-Band!! :faint: Filming will be on August 10th. I meet with the marketing director this Friday afternoon to go over the questions they will ask and what will happen. Autographs will be sold for $10 each. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a call yesterday afternoon, they have delayed taping until Dr Benevidas does his taping on Thursday. They will call me and let me know when it will be taped now. Yes, I need current photos......must check into that...

I love this post! I have to offer a piece of advice my primary care doctor gave me when I got banded. He told me what ever I do, don't stop the anti-depressant pills he prescribed. He has another patient who stopped hers after she was banded then got really depressed over the foods she could no longer eat. I don't know how much this story will help others here or not... My addiction is no longer food but Starbucks and cigs. I get 6 shots of expresso a day plus half a pack of cigarettes. I don't have the real "food" problem anymore but I have trouble dealing with my addictions. I need to drop the cigs and replace it with working out. Easier said than done, right? I can honestly see why some people become bulimic...

Nope not married...He can't seem to remember to bring me a copy of his divorce papers. Supposedly it has been final since February but every time I ask him to bring them, he cancels our date. I haven't seen him since July 3rd.

How the heck did I miss this post????? Got my head in a hole in the ground again!!! I want to play too!!!!! -
I have RLS and have had it all my life just about. I take Sinemet 25/100 one half to one pill as needed. Sinemet is a drug for Parkinsons Disease but it really does help...it is a VERY low dose. The one they advertise now, Relacore (I think) I haven't tried...but here's something that will make you laugh....Relacore has a tendency to make you gamble...LMAO!!!!! I swear, that is on the handout that you get at the doctors office. Something else that usually works for me, is a very, very hot bath. I fill the tub with the hottest Water I can stand and stay in there maybe 10 minutes (till sweat is pouring from my face) then dry off and jump in the bed. I am usually asleep in 5 minutes or less. Or try leg lifts. It wears my muscles out in my legs and it will help sometimes...Good luck!!!

Today is my one year Band-aversary!!! Boy has my life changed!! A year and a half ago, I figured no one would ever give a crap about me cause no one wanted to be with a "big girl". It was a struggle to walk long distances and find correct fitting clothes. I always wore baggy clothes to hide all my fat. Now I am about to take up running and want all my clothes to fit...no baggies for me.... I have a great boyfriend now and get whistles from strangers all the time! This makes Herman very jealous!! Hehehe!!! I love my band even though there are days when it feels tighter than others. Sometimes eating is a challenge on those days but I keep my soups close at hand along with protein drinks. BTW...Walmart has a great protein drink. It is ??????? Farms (I forget what the first part is). It is found over by the packaged cut up fruit. The Vanilla Chai Tea tastes like eggnog and has 20 grams of protein..I think the bottle is about 12 oz. Tastes really good, not protein-ish. I have an updated picture taken by Dr Benavides office this past Tuesday to post....need help in adding to my before and after pictures (hint hint) When I saw Dr Benavides on Tuesday, he told me I looked fabulous and doesn't want me to lose anymore weight. He wants to follow up in a year. Woohoo!!!!! So for all of you reading this wondering if it is all worth it. I am here to tell you it is!!!!!!!!!!!!

WEIGHT LOSS UPDATE: I've lost my four-year old son!!
tambonzjo replied to Cheri's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hmmm...I have lost..all four birds, both cats, cocker spaniel, my mom's left boob, and my youngest niece....hehehe!!!! -
Thanks to everyone for your encouraging words!!!!!!! You have made me smile this morning. I have been out of state for a week and the family I stayed with did not own a computer!!! I was shut off from the world for a week in Chillicothe, Ohio.!!! But I now have a beautiful new little baby girl, Herbie, a 17 year old Yellow naped Amazon parrot. The owner is an old friend of mine who just can't care for this spoiled rotten "tempermental three year old with a knife attached to her face" LOL!!! I have one bite mark on my left shoulder from her getting startled. My mom got it much worse. She offered Herbie a bite of egg and got the skin ripped off her right thumb instead. Bad birdie!! LOL! Anyway, Keep a look out for my updated picture, I am forwarding it to have it posted!!!!!!

I had a "flippin' port" They were not able to access it for my second fill. It required surgery to flip it back over and re-attach it. But it was a breeze..back at work the next day, just port pain which we all experience after it was reattached for a few weeks.

I have found that smells will fulfill any craving I have. Really...it works! Also what ever you TRY to eat will never taste as good as being thin feels!!!!

Hey all, long time no talk!!! Yes, interested in getting together!!! I live in Lewisville and work in Grapevine....let me know!!!

Finally...my co-worker comes back to work on Tuesday after being out since October, my last fill!! I am wayyyy too tight. Soup even makes me PB. I PB an average of 4-9 times a day, depending on what I have tried to eat. No meat, fish, veggies, etc. The only thing I can keep down is Starbuck Frappachino (BTW...my birthday is coming up...all gift cards to Starbucks will never be turned down! LOL) :ermm :ermm Before anyone asks, no I haven't been doing any Protein shakes. I just don't want them. I have been watching the tickers everyone puts on. I have lost all my weight way too fast compared to everyone else. I know we all lose at our own speed, but mine is too fast. My boyfriend tells me that I am thinner each time he sees me, which is about once a week. In eight months, almost nine, I have dropped from a size 22 to a size 10..and even put on an 8 the other day but decided to not buy it. I just didn't look right yet....

I can get some fluid taken out...FINALLY!
tambonzjo replied to tambonzjo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I will stop by the doctors office on the way to the surgery center on Tues. Don't get me wrong, I chew two flintstone Vitamins a day and still have lots of energy. In fact I have too much energy (ask my co-workers). For example, this weekend I cleaned the Bird room (garage sale junk and clothes to get rid of along with bird food everywhere. Took 3 hours), had to make a 300 mile round trip, went shopping, cleaned out my shed, packed up Christmas, cleaned house, planted 4 plants, and finished my Dermatology coding course (YEAH!!!!!), washed my car, and did 5 loads of laundry....AND have a cold on top of that! I just hate not being able to eat anything! I have had two episodes lately from low blood sugar but I have had that my entire life. But I haven't had a problem with it in about a year or so. I am watching it and keeping OJ near by if I need it. Thank you everyone for your notes and concern. I have been very short handed at work and could not take ANY time away, no matter what. But I promise to get on track ASAP!! -
You go girl!!!!! I need to update my info. I am now in a 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I am there if you find out any info. I just gave away 10 lawn and garden bags of clothes and have more to get rid of...a never ending cycle....
-
Wow, I never considered that mine have been somewhat irregular since the surgery. But now I am on birth control and getting two or three migraines a week. Just got a gun on Friday (Imitrex gun for injections....hehehe..I love saying that) and have a migraine working now...Advil is not kicking in...might have to shoot someone at lunch (lmao!!!)
-
LOL!!! I never thought about naming it! I love the names you have chosen...What ever shall I name mine? Pain in the a**, part of the time.

Thank you so much for the information....I will pass this on to my sister...
