I'm on a 2 week liquid diet. 64 oz/day <15 calories. I walk about 45 min/day. Other than that I haven't really been doing much. I have an office job, so I'm not very active there. -

I had surgery Oct. 15 and I am so cold all the time! Glad I'm not the only one. (Maybe it's because we're losing our "insulation" lol.) And I have been crazy hungry. Just head hunger though, because there's no way I could shove food in my mouth right now. For some reason I have became obsessed with looking at food and recipes. It sounds like torture, but things like just watching Food Network on TV leaves me feeling satisfied as if I just ate whatever they were cooking. So strange! -

How many days out of surgery are you? Mine was Tuesday, Oct. 15th. Wednesday and Thursday I did okay with my liquids, and Friday I had 102 oz! (Awesome!) I had 2 bottles of water between 8am-12pm, 2 between 1pm-5pm, and 2 between 5pm-8pm. Saturday was really hard for me to drink. I barely got 64 oz. (My surgeon's recommended minimum.) I met my goal with Sugar Free Popsicles and Sugar Free Jello. Today (Sunday) has been a lot easier. I bought a children's sippy cup, and I've been drinking powerade zero through it. I'm telling you, the sippy cup was brilliant. I was taking too big of drinks before, and the sippy cup prevents that. I'm averaging about 10 oz/hr today. -

Are you getting all of your liquids in? You don't want to get dehydrated! -

I was sleeved Tuesday as well. I've been having more of a "head hunger" than physical hunger. Sugar free Popsicles have been great, but I'm having a really hard time getting my liquids in. -
23 years young...October 17th!

Hi! I'm a 23 year old sleever too! I just had surgery on Oct. 15! It's been a lot different than what I expected. Everyone told me that it would be a breeze, but my first 2 days out of surgery I had a lot of trouble getting my liquids in. I can't do chicken broth (throw up almost instantly). My favorite thing is sugar free Popsicles and the Crystal Light packets with water. I've been walking - a lot, and that's helped a ton with the gassy feeling. One of the hardest things for me has been controlling my drinks. I've always been a "gulper" and now I need to be a "sipper". When I take too big of a drink, I can feel it going down, and it almost feels like it gets stuck in my chest. I'm not sure if that's normal? I'm also a little sore, which is to be expected with any surgery. Best of luck to you with your surgery and success!
