Thanksgiving.. What to eat.?

I will be 2 and a half weeks out on Thanksgiving and my NUT told me to make all day Thanksgiving dinner. I have to eat five meals, so I am to make one smashed sweet potatoes, one turkey blended with broth, one mashed potatoes and gravy, etc. She even said I could have one spoonful of the center of the pumpkin pie. -

Don't panic until you find out what your doctor's pre-op diet is. I read all these posts about liquids diets, then when I got my instructions, I only had to do low carb. Heck, that's Atkins! And how many times have I done that before? I was so releaved. I am day 5 of the pre-op, with surgery Monday the 11th! -

My surgeon will remove the stomach through the lower left incision. It will be slightly larger than the others and I was told to expect it to be alittle more tender. -

Deep breath! You will do great. This will all be over before you know it. By Christmas we will be eating again and be pounds lighter. Any discomfort is only temporary and our healthy new life style will be permanant! Start thinking about that summer vacation - and shorts!!! -

My surgery is on the 11th of Nov. I will be at the "mushy" stage by Thanksgiving. My NUT said that since I should eat 5 meals a day, they could all be Thanksgiving. One meal could be a little mashed potatoes and gravy, another sweet potatoes, another a little of the center of a pumpkin pie, etc. -

Well, maturity is in the eye of the beholder. I am aiming at being neither "old" or "mature".

If that miracle happens, I will be very happy. I am walking with a cane now, so would love relief.

I am 67 and so glad to find other "mature" people here. My surgery date is 11/11/2013 in Seattle. I am self-pay and my "liver shrinking" diet will start on the 28th. I have a class on Thursday to see what that diet consists of. I weigh 253 and the primary driver for me doing the surgery is my knees. They both need replacement and the orthopedic surgeon won't operate unless I lose weight.
