Yep. I've been sleeping with a pillow between my knees. Noticing the tailbone more and more these days. Still waiting to see clavicle bones.

I'm in my 6th month and I've had more stalls than I can count. But I have lost wright. All those little periods of loss add up. Keep working the program and your body will let go of the weight when it's ready.

You could experiment with some scrambles. Add some 2% cheese, turkey sausage crumbles, spinach, peppers, etc. I'm not very creative so I struggle with breakfast too.

Surgery is Tuesday now this?!
Sassy Pants1 replied to michelle_e2006's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I've read of others with the same issue and it did not delay surgery. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. -
Excellent! And to think, this is just the beginning. You will be doing a 5k with relative ease down the road.

Traveling & vacationing with your sleeve
Sassy Pants1 replied to mooncat's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Personally, I would aim for not gaining while on vacation at an all-inclusive rather than looking for a loss. I feel like that would be a good compromise for me on vacation. That would allow for some indulgence. Try to stick with the Protein first rule so you don't have room for too much junk. And have fun! -
6 weeks out & no weight lost in 2 weeks
Sassy Pants1 replied to tiffany81's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Agree with buplee. -
A follow-up sounds like a good idea. Daily vomiting is not good. I'm 5 months out and haven't thrown up even once.

THEY WANT TO DO WHAT....HELP ME
Sassy Pants1 replied to Rebellious Butterfly's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't even waste any time stressing about the procedure. Easy-peasy. -
Hunger? I just ate.....
Sassy Pants1 replied to JillC878's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think it could be an air bubble. I sometimes feel hunger when done eating and then a little air bubbles up and the hunger sensation is gone. Many new sensations to get used to. -
Nausea Dizzy A.M. Why?
Sassy Pants1 replied to lapnicky's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I had this. And still do on occasion. To be honest, I never figured out why. I just thought it was part of the process. I take a Prilosec every morning and the nausea would subside shortly after. -
That's crazy. That sounds like robbery.

Most docs do require some kind of pre-op diet, ranging from 1-14 days, but some do not. According to my surgeon, the pre-op diet is an additional safety measure they put in place a few years ago. It never used to be commonplace.

Well, isn't this a kick in the butt....

Everything I pluck, shave or wax is not showing any signs of hair loss. Only my head of hair. How many kinds of unfair is THAT??!! -
Boiling Inside! Incompetence runneth over! Beware!
Sassy Pants1 replied to KeeWee's topic in Rants & Raves
Though I felt 100% confidence in my surgeon, his support staff danced all over my last nerve. They were slow and unresponsive. We got through it and I'm on the other side of surgery and all that frustration is just a memory. -
Pain where chest meets tummy?
Sassy Pants1 replied to Jen40's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Are you taking something like Prilosec? The acid reducers really help. -
Quiting smoking on my pre op diet HELP!
Sassy Pants1 replied to Abry's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Though I'm no professional, I think it is to mitigate risk. Smokers have a greater risk of blood clots. Wounds may take longer to heal. Anesthesia complications are greater. And trust me, you don't want to have a coughing fit in that first week or so. Even a hiccup can be uncomfortable. Good luck! I know it's hard. -
I haven't been on vacation yet, but I do travel for work. I apply the same rules as when I eat out at home. Something protein-rich. Congrats on your weight loss! Holy buckets, that's an impressive number!

How do you measure your food?
Sassy Pants1 replied to LynRN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use both methods - cups/spoons and ounces. Depends on what I'm having. I think it sounds like you are right on track. -
It does get better. Really, it does. Just hang in there.

I think it's completely normal. For whatever reason I wasn't nervous on the day of surgery.....I was in the zone, I guess. But I sure had moments of fear and doubt leading up to the surgery. My surgery was on a Thursday, sent home on Friday. Back to work on Monday, but I work from home. No issues.

Feelings aren't wrong. But you will need to get used to people doing their own thing. Just because you had surgery shouldn't change anyone else's behavior. You will be able to have steak and bakers in a couple months. Hang in there!

Exercising vs not exercising
Sassy Pants1 replied to cbwalker79's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don't think 40 pounds in 2 1/2 months is slow. Especially with your lower starting weight. Those last pounds are likely to be more stubborn. -
Surgery with High Blood Pressure
Sassy Pants1 replied to xChdx's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was hypertensive. My BP would not come down after surgery so they gave me an injection which fixed it. Now, 5 months later, I just went off my meds. -
3 weeks out, still in pain
Sassy Pants1 replied to KimGainey's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That deep stitch bothered me for a good 3-4 weeks. The rest of the items I can't speak to.
