Hello, I am new to this site so if I do something wrong tell me. I do relate to your feeling of "I'm sorry" and I guess mainly because I have lost the control to keep my weight down...
I remember after leaving my first meeting thinking, I can't believe I am even thinking about this. Why can't I just do it on my own. After learning more and more about this sleeve surgery and how it helps and why having that fat is a disease. I knew then I needed help with a task that I could not do by myself. Knowing a few people that have had it done. Also knowing a few people that did the lap band, and the bypass. I realized we should not be sorry. We should be proud we understand the reason, the need and the medical reason why we need to do this. This gives us that opportunity to move steps forward and keep moving forward to many more years of our life. Absolutely we are never guaranteed tomorrow, but if I don't do something I know I am adding to those odds. I am proud of my decision and am looking forward to my day. December 5th, 2013.
