  15. I would have no qualms either. My little 5 year old is 72 pounds. She eats healthy and is very conscience of her eating choices. She is not as active as she wants to be because she has bad asthma and is always on steroids. Additionally obesity is just in her DNA. My husband and I have already decided that if she continues on this trajectory then we will consider weight loss surgery when she is of age. We are hoping for the best but why make her suffer at such a young age. By that point my husband and I will be far out post op and will know the ramifications of this surgery enough to make the right choice. As far as her having surgery at such a young age well children bounce back way better than adults. I had open heart surgery at age 11 in June of that year and was at cheerleading camp at the end of July. I hope for the best for her and wish you the best of luck in making your decision.
  16. I'm two months out. I'll admit I've had vodka and crystal light a couple of nights after a bad day at work. But I immediately went to bed after. Woke up the next morning just fine.

    Pharrell Williams' "Happy"

Girl, I'm crying with you. Praying with you. Laughing with you. She knew she was loved by you and you her. Reflect on that today. And as Pharrell says. Be happy you have those memories of her. Tell your stories of her all day today if you need to. We are here.

Doesn't She Need A Wig Cap?

So sorry for your loss. In my father's last days this summer. He began to plan his funeral including picking out his suit and tie and having us dry clean it. He also had us re-sole his shoes because he wanted a full open casket with glass over his body. He wore a suit and looked his best every day of us his life. He was not going out less than perfect. At the funeral home people We're coming in off the street to see this man.

    What's For Breakfast Today?

Leftover small Wendy's chili from last night.
  20. I'm with you. I totally told myself certain things would forever be forbidden although I know they are not. But I do not want to slide back into drinking real non diet cokes which I know put a lit of weight on me.

    HAIR GROWTH

Agreed. I was simply stating that I had worked very hard before surgery to get my hair healthy by not using chemicals. I am African American I knows many experiences of other African Americans losing hair from their scalp from Relaxers and hair color. I have experienced significant hair growth since my surgery which may or may not last. We will see. But everyone is different. I know some who have and some who have not.

    HAIR GROWTH

I posted a threat about how my hair grown and looks a lot more healthy since surgery. I'm 2 months post op. But I don't have any chemicals whatsoever in my hair and I only use heat once a month. I got my hair extremely healthy before surgery. I wonder if that is helping?
