    Feeling good tonight

Thanks everyone! It feels good to get dressed up go out and just feel good about yourself.
  2. You ARE killing it! We were sleeved the same month! Simply awesome!
  3. So yesterday, my family and I went to beach. I put on my swimsuit then a nice sundress cover up. I had no intentions of taking the dress off. However, when I put my swim suit on I glanced in the mirror and thought I saw a reflection that just didn't seem to be me. She was attractive, young, and vibrant. That was an image that I had not seen for a while staring back at me. Fast forward to the beach. We were taking pictures of the kids as they enjoyed their afternoon. Something came over me. I took off my sundress, jumped up and asked my friend to take a picture of me. I was so nervous as to what I was going to see. You see, often times when I look in the mirror and see one thing, when i see a picture of myself, I see something quite different. But this time, when I saw the pictures. I was amazed. The person I saw staring back at me in the mirror, was the same person in the picture. The young, beautiful, vibrant me. Maybe she is not what society defines as young beautiful and vibrant but screw you society. I love me and that's all that counts. Here's to 83 pounds in 6 months and 40 more to go!

    NSV for me!

Isn't it great! When I reach the 100lb loss mark, I'm going to buy myself a pair of 6 inch louboutin's!
  8. That I have been really really proud of for the first time. I mean I can't stop looking at it in disbelief that I have come this far in 5 months. Best decision I ever made. By the way, my husband also had the surgery one month after me.

    Terrible hair Loss

I am 5 months 10 days out. Have not lost a strand ( more than normal shedding). I attribute my luck to supplementing my diet with juicing. No scientific proof just sharing my experience.
  10. A anyone watching this? They just made this girl feel bad because she "only" lost 75 pounds in 90 days.? Her goal was 85. Didn't see from the beginning. Anyone know why their goals are ao aggressive?

    5 months Post Op

    Hi, anywhere from 4-8 oz.
  16. I today is my 5 months post op date. My life has changed dramatically. I began this journey at 267 pounds (day of surgery) and today I am 194. I began at a size 20 today I am a size 12/14. There are so many things I can do today I could not do 5 months ago. I don't even know where to begin. My diet consist of mainly nuts, smoothies, homemade juice, and veggies. I do not get as much Protein and Water as I should and have not exercised. I have not lost any hair which I attribute to juicing. I am not a textbook WLS case but I am making my sleeve work for me.
  17. Sure. That was one apple, celery, strawberry, beat and lemon. I make several kinds. There are recipes all over the internet. 5 months post op haven't lost a strand of hair
  18. Pre op, I had great success using phentermine. My only side effect was acne. The only reason I stopped taking it was because it was hard for me to find a Dr to prescribe them. Once I came off of them permanently is when my weight shot up through the roof. With that being said, while my appetite has increased since surgery I am making better choice of what I am eating and am only needing a few bites before I am full. I don't really need a complete appetite suppressant at this point because I am struggling to get food in but I would see no worries in the future for in the future going back on phentermine. I just hope that I will never have a need for phentermine, or diets or any of that old crap I used to put myself through again. The only option I am debating once at goal is weight watchers for accountability and keeping up the lifestyle chance and learning how to eat anything in moderation.
