April 2013:  Diagnosed with Diabetes mellitus type II, Diabetes-related hypertension and hyperlipidemia, prescribed Metformin, Lipitor, and Lisinopril -  and referred for Baritric consult.

Started nutrition classes with Weight Management Center @ heaviest weight - 253 lbs

September 2013:  Metformin stabilized blood sugar enough that weight stabilized at 236

October 2013:  Started 4-day preop liquid at 236 lbs. 

Morning of Surgery 10/16:  228 lbs.  Discharged next day @ 238 to bring home 10 lbs of fluids courtesy of IV. However, surgeon discontinued my diabetic meds the day he discharged me!  I discontinued the Lipitor on my own (since last labs were only 140 total cholesterol!).

November 2013:  Going to see my PCP 11/25 for the first time in six months and am hoping to have final medication (Lisinopril) discontinued.  No more diabetes, no more high cholesterol, nor headaches and high BP!  As of 11/24, am sitting happy at 211 and hoping to arrive in Wonderland by New Year's Eve!  2014 will be a beautiful year for all of us!
