October 2013 Sleevers Roll call!
MollyWobbles replied to nik2nite's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sleeved 10/7/13 HW: 240/244 Beginning wt: 235 SW: 215 CW: 200 I had the dreaded 3 wk stall that lasted 10 days. I was stuck at 202! Next week I will be in Onederland!! Went for my 1 month post op today. I was taken off my Water pill for my BP the day before surgery. BP was running about 155/95 WITH my water pill. Today it was 138/82 woot! Now only med I take is omeprazole for heartburn. I was on Nexium because nothing else worked! Omeprazole does the job just fine now. So excited. I'm not excited that my clothes don't fit (I don't want to buy more knowing they will only fit temporarily) and my inner thighs are really jiggly. -

My first week I had to work myself up to a mile (I didn't time myself) I didn't have pain but nausea with motion, and still do I am just about 3 weeks out and am walking 2 miles every other day but find after about 1.5 I get nauseous, still chugging along tho!

Ohio buddy who had Dr Trace Curry
MollyWobbles replied to mileysfitmommy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I started end of April, once i was done jumping through the flaming hoops blind folded per my insurance company I had surgery Oct 7th. I should have been in September but my insurance was a pain. Hang in there -
Mine is not acid, I'm on meds. I think its head hunger and my tummy healing and getting used to the new tummy. For a while I was in the mind set that I CAN'T have certain foods but I've come to terms with that because I CAN have those things, I just will not be eating them as much or as often. Coming to that realization has helped tremendously! Im trying to really pay attention to the feeling i get in there so i can learn what they really are. I have noticed when I drink plain water my tummy feels hungry although its not.

I bought a rotisserie chicken at the grocery and pulled off the white meat, pureed it with a little cream of chicken. I had enough to make all my lunches for a week! Before my surgery the thought of pureed meat grossed me out. I had to think of it differently. Now i cant wait to put the stuff on a cracker and eat it lol. So much so i have been researching low carb cracker options! I have not tried beef yet. Im a little scared.

Its all a matter of personal preference, however, they will let you try the ready to drink protein drinks. I like their brand.
