I've seen my surgeon twice about this issue. He told me, it's a normal part of the healing process and that I'm on all the meds I need to be on. He told me walking and Water will help with it. I can barely get water down some hours because it just regurgitates back up. I'm feeling really discouraged. I hope it's not my "new life" like this ;-(

You look great!!! How much exercise did you do each day? Any tips on how you were so successful?

I just went to my first birthday party after being sleeved and since I haven't been completely outspoken about my choice to have surgery (only close friends, family and you all know) I had some really funny looks. People were like, you're losing weight, are you just starving yourself??? I ended up carrying a plate of food around with me and just moving the items around with my fork in an attempt to "look normal" and avoid questioning! How have you been able to socially avoid ALL the details? It just gets annoying and I'm only in the first leg of my journey!

I am 26 days post op and I'm wondering if not leaving adequate time between getting all the liquids in also stretches your stomach out? I finally feel hungry and am scared I've caused the pouch to stretch out already

I had to drink like a gerbil for almost 3 weeks, but everyone's recovery is different. What does your surgeon say?

Hi all! I'm day 17 post op and down 37 pounds! ! I'm thrilled at my loss! But, having a really hard time with nausea and coughing up stomach bile. I often get a metallic taste in my mouth. I am trying my BEST to get all my Water and Protein shakes down and have good days and not so good days. But, this constant nausea that started back up after a week is making me lose my appetite. Does it ever go away??

Hey, sorry you're going through this disappointment. It can't be easy, especially with the expectations we place on ourselves before and after surgery. I'm a newbie myself so all I can say is "Keep your head up", change will come. It will.

Thanks NewNana How did they determine your dehydration? Did you get put on IV drip? Also, has yours gone and does it come back?
