Welcome and congratulations it sounds like you are doing great.

Woohoo congratulations! We are doing well. I'm looking forward to getting back in my normal routine but enjoying the break too, especially silly the break from work! I rode my bike to and from mass today (about 20 minutes each way). Not too bad but I'll stay inside out of the heat the rest of the day! Looking forward to running tomorrow but I will need to do it early. Anybody have plans for NYE? We are going to a dinner concert at the Brisbane Jazz Club which is right on the river, so as a bonus we get to see the fireworks at midnight! I am so excited about the dress I bought and will have my husband take a photo when I am all dressed up. Thanks Misty looking forward to seeing your new dress, your NYE sounds great, enjoy!

Do you eat when you arent hungry?
Merry1 replied to Stacy_wls's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My Dr said not to be concerned if I couldn't achieve 800 calories a day, in his words I have a dining car strapped to my body, and if I wasn't able to eat enough it would just start burning some of the reserves. You shouldn't wait till your hungry as you may not really feel hunger at this point, rather aim for between 3-6small meals making sure you get your protein in first then whatever veg you can manage -
What a great feeling that must be for you, well done

Hi Frog feet I absolutely was nervous, couldn't wait till I could eat them then kept going for soft options as I was worried how it would feel to eat solids, I think if you just take it slowly and as you feel able it will be fond, nice timing for Xmas though.

Hi everyone had my 6 week visit with the surgeon last week, 10kg since surgery, pleased with the progress so far. Was wondering if any one had any tips to try and prevent hair loss, I don't have thick hair as it is so am a little nervous about that.

That's great Misty, hopefully smooth sailing for you now, take care

Hi Susan doing ok, struggling with eating small enough mouthfuls and slowly enough so have had some uncomfortable times which is no fun, just keep trying to be more conscious of my eating, any tips?

Hi Newlife, I know what you mean, I was done 8/10 but was lucky to be able to stay home for a few weeks, still going back was a hard slog, think I was in bed about 8 every night, been back two weeks now and it's getting easier each day.

Hi, I use Aussie Bodies vanilla and just add frozen fruit to make my own shakes, generally only once a day, but if I am falling short on calories I have a second one after dinner -
Wow 51/2 months that must be horrid, I hope this new treatment works for you
