Has anyone heard from Lap Bandit (Shelia) Havent seen much of her since she got banded.I wanted to see how she was doing.Last I heard she had the allergic reaction. Just was concerned on how she was.

I was also thinking about that.I would like to go back couple times for fills.So I should go ahead and apply for one for then. Thanks.

HI, I need help on some info.I have read everywhere that you need a passport to fly into Mexico but not one driving.Now I seen on tv last night there was something about a new thing saying deadline was last night. Is that for air only or has something changed for traveling by vehicle.I have surgery scheduled in December. Please Help if you know anything.

I too was thinking about using Dr.G but when I got there stats I kinda stepped back and Im having different thoughts about him. This is the email I got from Dr.G office, One hotel night is included in the package, usually patients pay for one additional night, since it is more comfortable to stay at the hotel. You do not have to get the 3rd night, you may stay at the surgical center is you wish and so can your companion. Erosion rate is less than 4%, and slippage rate less than 3%. Im still deciding between two doc's.I was curious because I thought I read somewhere that Dr.Ortiz didnt intubate,So I emailed them and the other doc I'm decideing on.Well Dr.O doesnt they just use a mouth guard to hold your tounge down.And the other Dr. does intubate. Does anybody know if they were? Thanks Jen

Hi Im also considering Dr. G. I thought you could stay at the surgery center and didnt have to get a hotel.Or is that just your choice?

Thats what I like about Dr.A.Hes at a hospital and Im kinda fond of staying at the hospital for another night. For me to go to Monterrey it would cost me more to travel there then San Diego.I would be able to get to SD quicker than I could to Mont if something was to happen.And like if I wanted to go back there for fills.

Ive actually been talking(via email) to Ruben.I emailed Nina but she never emailed me back. I keep trying to think of everything I can to ask. The easiest part was actually deciding to have the lap band procedure!!! Ive got three Dr.'s that Im trying to decide to choose from.Two in Tj and then Dr.A(your favorite)

Just got another email from Dr.A . He did say about 2% get the tube and the other 98 get Laryngeal Mask Airway. I guess he got your email and clarified it for me in another email. Thanks Jennifer

Just got phone with them again to ask about the lap band.I absolutly have no coverage.I have Optiam Health thru work.Boss would have to add to his policy.This just really sucks.Just pisses me off.

Well Im gonna be a self payer (Insurance covers big fat NOTHING) thanks boss :)and Im currently researching going to Mexico.I live in Va so I will have to fly to San deigo.I have to get the money together so I wont be able to do this for several months.I was looking for a buddy or buddies thats kinda in my shoes saving money(cant finance)not so good credit. and heading to Mexico.We dont have to fly together maybe around the same time.We can chat about the doc's we are gonna use? Anyone interested?

Christine, Did you go by yourself?If not does whomever go with you get to stay with you at the hotel and hospital?For the same price?Like if your in the hospital will they have a room?Im scared to head there by myself but if I dont have anyone to go with me looks like I will be.
