looking for plastic surgeon in beaumont/Houston TX area
ucjes posted a topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
So anyone from Beaumont or Houston have good experiences with surgeons there? I have lost 142 pounds and now I am starting to research plastic surgery. I had a consultation with Dr Lyos in Houston but I am looking for other frame of reference so i would like to get a few other consolations to see what my options are. My insurance won't cover anything this will all will be self pay. I am a little overwhelmed in the quote I got for a tummy tuck and thigh lift but you do what ya gotta do I guess. I am also thinking I'd be more satisfied with a lower body lift instead of just at tummy tuck. I would like to find something a little cheaper but I understand you get what you pay for and I don't want to risk reduced quality of care just to save a few bucks. I also refuse to go to Mexico. I think that is crazy. I read some good things about Dr. Lamonico in Houston. anyone know about his prices or have had procedures done by him. There are a few surgeons in the town i live in. I live in Beaumont which is about 80 miles from houston. anybody had work done in beaumont? -

ucjes posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi! I live in Beaumont, Texas and interested in meeting up with fellow sleeves to discuss our stories and share ideas. I had surgery in November 2013 and I have lost 125 pounds. I would love to meet up with other sleevers in the southeast texas area. I think it would be fun to hear your stories and share ideas, motivation and recipe. I would love to do it this weekend if anyone out there is interested. It would be great if we could make it a continuing metope. I think Sertinos in Beaumont would be great place. Let me know if you are interested. You can also add me on myfitnesspal and Facebook. username is ucjes. Facebook -- www.facebook.com/uces. I can't wait to hear from you!! -

oh good. I'm glad I found some people in the area. I'm totally down for a meet up. I had surgery at the Southeasttexas bariatric center. They have monthly meetings but I'm always at work during the time they have them. We will have to coordinate a time and place. I was thinking possibly Sertinos in Beaumont.

@@junejune00 hi! I live in Beaumont. I got sleeved in November. I love sushi too but I haven't had it yet since surgery. I've only eat sashimi which is still really good to me. I know some people that eat rice with no problem but I'm trying to stay away from the carbs so I don't Pasta, rice, or bread. Good luck to ya! Where were you sleeved?

so I've been on the hunt for some low car high Protein pancake recipes. I found a lot that called for wheat flour or some sort of rolled oat. So I know that white flour is a no no but wheat flour is ok?

$12450. That is the hospital fee, anesthesia, and the doctor fee.

ucjes started following anyone NOT lost their hairI
-
I hear so much about everyone losing their hair. Is there anyone out there that hasn't lost their hair? I'm about 9 weeks post op and I hear its about the 3 mo mark. I get about 70 grams of Protein a day so I hope I won't. So anyone out there that didn't lose their hair?

So I am officially a slow loser. Anyone else? I read so much about people who lost tons of weight really fast but I don't hear much about people losing slow. I know they exist. I mean I'm one of them so I know there has to be more. I had surgery on Nov 18 and I had lost 19 pounds in the 6 weeks prior to surgery. A week after surgery I hit stall for probably 3 weeks It was very frustrated but finally the scale started moving again and I felt better. So in the 9 weeks since surgery I have lost about 25 pounds. At first I felt very defeated since I kept reading about people dropping tons of weight really quick. Now I have come to terms with it. I'm doing everything the right way so as long as the scale keeps going down then i'm ok with it.
