And they aren't really trained in measuring there and will make you fit into a size they carry even if you don't!!!! Independent boutiques are best but if you don't find one try Macy's or Nordstrom's or a big department store that carries many brands! Or try the Reddit link above and do it yourself!

Yay congrats!

Guy's Room - Men, you might want to try this...

Oops accidental post sorrh -
I know about the cup size vs. band size, but in all my years of yo-yo dieting, I've NEVER lost weight and increased cup size. EVER. I'm 51 yrs old, and I've been dieting since I was 5 yrs old.I have for sure!!!! Especially when I was younger. Depends on where you carry your fat. If it's around the back or upper stomach/ribcage area it's easy to do.

Are you wearing anything special on Valentines Day?
jess9395 replied to Healthy_life2's topic in The Gals' Room
Lol yeah high heels at the racetrack... NOT. -
I've heard the under the bust and add 4 inches I think it was but maybe 5 yes. I find the above measure works better. If you really want to find an accurate measurement try this one here--- https://m.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/beginners_guide It's really eye opening and since using it I can honestly say I've never worn bras that fit so well!

Here's one in inches

and for what it's worth most women wear the wrong size bra
-
Quick google search on bra cup sizing turned up a myriad of Aires and images. Here ya go...
-
To answer your question, no I didn't know this & not sure I agree w/you. I've heard several women say they went from a DD to a C & their band size went down too. Yes that can certainly happen too when both areas shrink. But if you will google it's definitely the way bras are sizes. A D cup for a 40 is WAY different than a D cup for a 32

Are you wearing anything special on Valentines Day?

This was last year, my first year at goal (ignore the cast I had just had wrist surgery). This year we are going the the drag races so more like shorts and a tank top. -
Thad exactly why at over two years out I still supplement with protein powder and shakes

Oh yeah! Obviously waiting until after the half! I was thinking of aiming for September or October, since that will get me through the running season (I live in upstate NY so it gets cold early here). 6-8 weeks of recovery doesn't seem too bad as long as I time it right. Do you think you may revisit the idea of a thigh lift down the road or have you completely decided against it? Most days I think I've completely decided against it, then I go to yoga class in shorts and look at them in Down Dog and think I may reconsider one day LOL
-
I made the decision for me it wasn't worth it... But as for the running/training it's at least 6 weeks post op before you can run again, often 8 depending on your surgeon. I would wait till after the half marathon!!! In fact I scheduled all my plastics around my running schedule. Had them 10 days after my first marathon so I could take time to recover from both! I still haven't had a small scar (dog ear) revision done because I haven't found a break long enough in my running schedule!

Insured - still had to pay everything up front
jess9395 replied to songsmith's topic in Insurance & Financing
And yes of course collecting up front isn't a regulated thing or the same everywhere (my wrist surgeon in a different office than my knee Ortho sends bills in the mail) but it is becoming more and more common. I do believe it will continue to do so because as someone said up thread too many people not paying bills these days! -

Actually mine is that fast! My Ortho contacted them one afternoon and they already had my blood tests and MRIs in there from earlier in the day. They don't care if you actually paid those appointments they are the ones you owe for if they finish up your deductible or out of pocket... Because they were earlier you owe for those not the later appointment.Maybe within the same system, but some of the time I go to the Catholic hospital system and sometimes I go to Barnes Jewish. It depends on my mood. They don't have the same billing system and BCBS is not processing claims in real rime, it takes 24 to 48 hours. The healthcare system in America really varies and there are different laws and regulations in different states. It is not all the same. No, collecting everything up front is not standard practice everywhere, just like being billed isn't standard practice everywhere, it varies. This is the first PCP that i have ever had that doesnt collect co-pays at the time of service which I find annoying, especially since they send paper bills in the mail and dont have an online electronic billing system. It definitely must vary because I have blue cross anthem and the hospital, lab and MRI were not part of the same system, all independent because line j said I live in a rural area and we don't have a lot of big systems and groups, yet blue cross had my info and what I paid and owed in real time. I'm sure they hadn't paid the claims yet, but the info was there! -

Our hospital system is connected by computer to the insurance system for real time updates. No need to call. It's the wave of the future, especially the pay your portion up front and we are NOT in a metropolitan area, far from it! We are considered rural by all the medical reimbursement rates. -

My orthopedist contacts the insurance to find out exactly where you are and how much you will owe. They can find out if they want to. -

I had to pay my share of costs up front. Actually wound up overpaying by $100 and got a check in the mail months later. -
What fitness related EVENT are you training/preparing for?

Have you thought about therapy to get around the mind aspects of overeating? That's one of the most valuable things I ever did. Determined with a therapist WHY food was such an issue and what I used it for other than fuel/nutrition. That's a point that can't be overstated and comes back around on this board again and again. If we don't fix our MINDS this tool will not be as useful and we will not be as successful. I have honestly never missed food since I got my head in the right place. Might be worth it! -

The blood type thing is a theory. It's very interesting and certainly worth a try to see if it works for an individual (and I'm glad it works for you!). But as of now there isn't enough empirical evidence to make it a fact. I do completely agree that individuals should work with a nutritionist or dietician or doctor (in person, online, through research on their own in books or whatever) to find an individualized plan that works for all their needs, desires and aspects of their lifestyle. -
Did anyone's spouse lose attractiveness when they got close to goal?
jess9395 replied to Chrystee's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
You know... that's so nice.. but that sure makes me feel kind of bad. That really wasn't the question, or point of my post.. but I'm honestly glad for those of you whose relationship hasn't changed at all. Maybe he just doesn't really love me. I understand what you are saying... It's not about love it's about physical attraction/chemistry. As I said above my husband is the same, he loves me no matter my weight and loved me at my heaviest (which was a full 100lbs heavier than when we met and got married). And my husband it still attracted to me but would definitely be more physically attracted to me if I had the curves I had back when we started. Do we need counseling for it? That's a different thing. I don't know that you do either. I don't imagine it's really any different from being less attracted to the physical form as you get older or gain weight or whatever. It is what it is. Do I find my husband less physically attractive than Chris Hemsworth, sure I probably do! But I don't need counseling for it and our relationship is fine. My guess is yours is too, especially given how you describe the conversation unfolded. It's the love through "thick and thin" thing. Did we need counseling to fix the fact that he was less physically attracted to me after I gained 100lbs? No. Do I need to gain 30lbs to attract him? No. It is what it is and we are just fine.
