  1. Can your surgeon prescribe you medication for the nausea? Zofran always helps me.
  2. I still can't drink it almost three years out. ouch!
  3. I had C sections and gallbladder and tubal ligation scar tissue. None of it made no never mind.

    Pretty diet

I only had 24 hour clear liquid, no other pre op and I did fine.

    Snacks other than protein drink

Omg I love whisps but they are a slider for me! You've gotten tons of good suggestions here. Also search for the Protein mug cake here it's awesome. I'm also doing ricotta cheese mixed with vanilla Protein powder pumpkin purée and pie spice! Tastes like pumpkin spice mousse!
  6. What everyone else said... I met with five plastic surgeons, did two Internet consults and looked at hundreds of pictures and read dozens of reviews before picking my surgeon and am thrilled with the results.
  7. Normal BMI (21) and body fat was 17% at my last DEXA scan. No one has told me I look too skinny. I'm healthy and athletic/strong. Different for everyone.

    Dinnerware?

I've eaten off salad plates from the beginning and still do three year later (almost). I also use ramekins for bowls!
  9. No sadly skin doesn't count for the removal it's grams of breast tissue. Your story is very much like mine. I was up to like a 42G but probably should have been wearing something bigger. After my loss it was 32DDD but t was all skin rolled up into the bra. Lift and 300cc implants put me back to 32DDD which was great bc I didn't have buy new bras LOL! They look perfectly in proportion which is odd I thought I'd like a C+D- myself and were it totally up to me I probably wouldn't have done implants but at DH's and the surgeons urging I did and they do look perfect. But I do have to try on shirts all the time now bc I never know if I will fit a small or a medium. If I liked my shirts clingy I could probably get away with small all the time, but I don't! To the OP if you PM me I will send you scar pictures
  10. I had the anchor incision and am pale (especially on areas that see no sun lol) and I'm pleasantly surprised at my scars! By a year out they were hardly noticeable. I had implants but that wasn't relevant to the scarring part. I had very little tissue left!
  11. Congrats!!! It just gets better and better! For the tailbone pain, check out the diagram below. My physical therapist and chiropractor said for me it came from sitting in a way that compensates for my weight and I needed to re learn how to sit and reclaim the atrial curvature of my lumbar spine. Maybe it will work for you too!

What is on your Trader Joe's Shopping List?

Was just there yesterday. Was very hard to resist some of the pumpkin choices for sure! The macarons were calling my name, but I put them down! I've been playing with their organic pumpkin purée though! Overnight oats with plain 0% fage Greek yogurt, pumpkin purée, pumpkin pie spice and fairlife milk. Pumpkin purée, a small bit of applesauce, ricotta cheese and pumpkin pie spice I did splurge on some pumpkin "o's" Cereal and I actually didn't like t at all--too sweet and not enough pumpkin flavor. My chickens ate it.
  13. I was also a binge eater. Did the mental part of it before surgery. Mostly fast food/greasy stuff. Occasionally sweets but even then it wasn't candy it was donuts/cookies/cake. Post op sleeve really changed things for me. No more appetite, no more desire, very few cravings even years out now. That combined with the mental work I did with a therapist has proven a pattern for long term success for me. I really do think RNY and Sleeve produce an endocrine change that the band does not. Check out this podcast the doctor talks about the research suggesting this: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/weight-loss-surgery-podcast/id662443588?mt=2&i=350189278
  14. Most back pain is due to weak abdominal muscles. They just cut your and you are building back strength there.
  15. Look for posts about the three week stall. Happens to most of us somewhere between 2-5 weeks out. Give it a month or so and see what happens!
  16. I feel like that will never happen Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App You're only about six weeks out! Give it some time!!

    Pumpkin spice anywhere!?

Got this on Amazon it's pretty good!
  18. THIS is the long and the short of it. Took me a LONG time to get there and even at almost three years out I still supplement more days a week than not to get all the protein in (my goal is higher than most at 90-110g). Other people get there in 6-8 weeks. The more other sources of protein you can tolerate/incorporate the sooner you can stop using them! meat, seafood and chicken of course but also Greek yogurt, eggs, cheeses (including cottage cheese, ricotta, etc), nuts & seeds, Beans (and tofu, tempeh, etc). The more you fill the space available to you with protein, the less supplement you need.

    Short hair or Long Hair?

My hair loss didn't start till about 6-7 months out and then lasted about 6-7 months. Shorter worked better for me during the growing back period (it's all grown back now) because the short "fuzzies" blended in better. When it's falling out? Don't think k it matters

    Bai Drinks

Bai tea? I know what I'm looking for now! I agree with those who say good sweet which is why I dilute them. But the sweeteners are much more natural than most sugar free drinks.

    Gurgling Stomach

I'm almost three years out and my stomach "talks" frequently! More so when I'm lying down. I tell my husband it's trying to compete with his snoring, LOL

    Bai Drinks

Love Bai! I dilute it as well, but drink them frequently

  25. High blood pressure? That worked with my anthem plan. I was borderline...40 exactly so I researched in case they didn't go by first visit weight.
