Cut Calories and Excercise and no weight loss

I've looked and can't find any science to support that claim. -

Can you share your source on the coffee? I have not found that in my research. -

You can also make your own with shredded cheese in the oven on parchment paper or even in the microwave. Experiment with timing. Pepperoni also makes "chips" same way. And Sargento ultra think cheese slices work too! -

I think she was referring to the person who called me a troll. And I don't think she meant the cute ones. -

Wow I seriously wasn't trolling! Just explaining what my guesses were based on. Look at my post history and you will find I am quite helpful and share lots of information and support. Again shows you can't read tone of voice. And if you'd rather jump to conclusions without knowing anything about me, even about what I post on this message board, then BLOCK ME. Instructions are above. Each thread on here is for the whole group and all the hundreds of lurkers and the hundreds who will come later, to learn from. No one owns a thread. -
The good, bad and the ugly. CARBS!

We need the vitamins that can be found in wide variety of fruits and vegetables. There are other ways to get them, especially the ones in fruits which are very high in sugar. I am a big fan of veggies but not fruit during weight loss. But definitely figure out what works for you. Just making the clarification that you don't NEED fruit. And veggies are a Arouca of carbs for sure, but all in all they are very low in net carbs. Fruits are much higher. -
Looking for better calcium citrate option
jess9395 replied to 3boysmama's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I've had a lot of calcium issues (parathyroid) and I've experimented a lot. The reason we are told calcium citrate is that calcium carbonate needs a lot of acid to be digested and between having less stomach and taking acid reducers we just can't profess it. I've actually found calcium hydroxapetite works well for me. This is what I use now and they have several formulas some are two a day to meet your needs. Check this out: Jarrow Formulas Bone-Up, Promotes Bone Density, 360 Caps Jarrow https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0045X82OE/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdo_TXdLzbRFEHHTD -
Make sure you are on an acid reducing medication, hopefully a proton pump inhibitor like Omeprazole, protonix, etc. for many people acid can mimic hunger. It did for me and when they increased my PPI it went away. There are lots of posts on this!

See... bones pile. This is the kind of talk that doesn't translate well. Sounds quite threatening. -

Had no clue. Don't forget we can't get tone of voice on a message board. -
Oh cool! Well I would start small just to make sure your sleeve can handle that amount of fat without dumping (a few sleevers dump) then go for it! I might try this myself! Love learning new things. I learn new stuff from this board all the time even four years out!

What is a fat bomb? Curious!

It's all been said... the last pounds are the hardest because your body has reached its own goal--it's new set point--and it may not concur with YOUR goal. I always call those last pounds the "vanity" pounds. You've changed your life, you've reaped a thousand health benefits. Those last pounds are to look good in jeans/a bikini/whatever. Even if you aren't in "normal" range... those tables don't truly show health. There are actually studies done that show people slightly above "nomal" live longer. Ask yourself why you really feel the need to lose those last pounds. And if they are worth the lifelong struggle to keep them off. Because that's what it will be. As hard as you have to work to lose them you will have to work harder to maintain them.

Not judging anyone. Just guessing like I said. No cape wearing here. I was speaking in generalities about tendencies. Didn't say one word about you. Just how your own brief description of your story (knife fight with your doctor, you never elaborated on that) impacted ME. I actually DO know that about Canada. And I know there are great surgeons in Mexico. I'm just making guesses about long term success based on traits exhibited. And you've exhibited a lot of them here. But you may be completely different in real life. -
Gym or no gym, that is the question

Somewhere between 4 & 6 weeks usually. Ask your doc. Know, though, that exercise doesn't do anything for flabby skin. It can fill up the space to a small extent with muscle, but exercise works muscles not skin. -

I'm glad you found what works for you! Legit observation and experimentation is terrific. Sadly , I've noticed that there are a lot of carbs, even healthy ones, that I personally just can't do in moderation. Once I open the door on some of them (get thee behind me cheezits) even some healthy ones (looking at you oatmeal and whole wheat toast) I just crave more and more and start grazing and eating the unhealthy ones. Personally I do best without them in my life. -
Yeah raw veggies were introduced for me week 8. And honestly? There are some I still struggle with at four years out. Cruciferous (broccoli, cauliflower) and carrots namely. They are hit and miss for me even cooked. I couldn't do any of them raw or cooked for more than a year.

Most stubborn people don't listen to advice and wisdom from professionals, experts and people who have been successful. People who are humble and willing to learn new things are. Those traits lend themselves to success in this venture. I know nothing about your motivations. Many people with wonderful motivations fail because of personality traits that lead to behaviors. That may or may not be you. Like I said, just a guess. -

Like I said you may be right. Someone as stubborn as you won't listen to anything I have to say. Yup that's me, common. Shaking my own head and laughing. I'm the type of person who likes to hear the opinions and experiences of people who have been successful in what I am attempting to do. I'm also the type who hires a surgeon I trust and would never get in a knife fight with one. Since you don't want to share that story I will just admit that aspect of your personality scares me and that's part of what I base my guess (which I said was only a guess) on. -
