Starbucks Egg bites
jess9395 replied to Sleeveforme2017's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everyone's plans are different. If your stage included scrambled eggs you're probably ok.... BUT my tummy couldn't handle eggs till about six months out, caused me actual pain in my stomach, cramps and all. I have a sort of sensitive stomach I think, things like carbonation and rice still hurt and I'm four years out. So, tread carefully. If your plan includes scrambled eggs try a very small amount first and see how it goes -

Right??? Costco always discontinues things I like too! Sadly I literally give Starbucks like $50 a week many times! My flat white and my egg bites cost $9.10 -
Oh you're awesome! I do shakes so I can put them in there!

Instructions please! I got a sous vide from my mother in law for my birthday since I'm addicted to these... she figured it would pay off for the amount of $$ I give Starbucks, lol! But I haven't figured it out yet. -

How far out are you? Took me about six months till I could eat them again. -
Why wouldn't you? Easy phone call to make. Should be decreasing the further out you are not increasing
-
Doesn't the lemonade base have added sugar? That's what they told me.
-
I'm right there with you! I was just thinking if someone had a protein shake without the fake stuff I'd like to try it!
-
I love Rx bars!! But too much sugar for me on a regular basis. It's the good sugar not added but still not good for me personally on a regular basis. I am gonna try those vitamins though! Thanks for sharing!
-
I have plenty I enjoy. They all have artificial sweeteners, which I don't mind. But if anyone had a good one without I was open to hearing about it!
-
Your vitamins have protein? That's awesome! My goal is higher than yours for sure. 90-120g. Yeah I have the protein grams memorized for almost everything, LOL. Can meet it these days when I really set my mind to it, but I couldn't for most of a year and most days now I use a bar or shake or powder to get there too.
-
Does your plan allow coffee? Mine did. Skip the premade drinks and add your own cream so you can control and track the amount. You can add no calorie sweeteners too.
-
Go back to the basics of your plan. Typically that's protein first, low refined carbs.

Love em! -
Sigh... I still need a shake of bar most days! Either my goal is higher or my capacity less.
-
Wow! Glad that worked for you!
-
So those of you who don't do artificial sweeteners... what protein shakes did you find that you liked?
-
Four years out. I've always used fake sweeteners. In my coffee, protein shakes, protein bars and Greek yogurt mostly. Now that I'm at goal I don't avoid real sugar as much.... still isn't a regular part of my diet but I have it weekly or so.
-
Quest and power crunch. And when I am training and can handle the extra carbs Rx Bars

What I want to believe

An old time member on this board once said she considers this weight maintenance surgery and not weight loss surgery. I couldn't agree more. I was like the graph shown earlier. Lost 50+ pounds more times than I can count. Never could keep it off. I've kept my 135 lb loss over three years now with no signs of that changing. Add me to the "wish I'd done it sooner" chorus! -
Call your surgeon. I'm sure they have an ok call situation. If you don't have a fever it's likely not an infection but it could be a seroma.

Anyone around 5'3-5'5 and weight 250-270 how much weight did you lose in your first 6 months

Are you following your post op plan? If so you shouldn't need a restart. If not that's probably why you aren't losing weight. -
We are all different! I only ever had two to begin with, but I also didn't have a LBL, I had a tummy tuck, breast lift/aug and my arms done.
-
Wow! My requirement was the same 30cc and my drains came out five days post op.
