  1. That's sweet! I have many meaningful things I have saved throughout my life, but clothes have never been a part of that. I think that's cool that you have those plans. I did save ONE thing I have been hanging on to. It was from a middle of the road weight for me, size 12 or 14 dress I changed into after my wedding dress on my wedding day (I don't even have my wedding gown, long story). It's a linen tailored classic style 3/4 length white dress with a ton of buttons and navy trim. My 20th anniversary is next year. I would LOVE to go back to our honeymoon location and have a bow renewal ceremony wearing that dress altered to a size 4/6 now! Course with vanity sizing it's not as many sizes down as it seems, it's maybe 3 sizes too big now, but still!!!
  2. You may be right. All I know is it seems like in our area at least it's awfully hard to find a doctor if you have Covered California plans!
  3. This is really true. I don't know specifically about bariatric surgeons, but my GP, the kids' pediatrician, the orthopedist, the neurologist all have signs up in their office saying they don't take the CA Exchange plans including Blue Cross. I always have to clarify WHICH Blue Cross I have when signing in

    Quest Bars?

1 sugar 16 fiber 6 erythritol = 25 carbs 20 Protein I have read the controversy about the fiber as well...but I tell ya there is def some serious fiber in there. Better than any another constipation remedy I've tried!

    Quest Bars?

Quest website sells a variety pack. GNC sells by the bar. They have a buy three get one free through the end of the month. They aren't good for early on, but great for later. I tried the Peanut Butter cups and didn't like em

    Guys...Im HANGRY!

You're six days out from MAJOR SURGERY!!! You will be tired and drained and low energy. That will change.

    Quest Bars?

Love em and use them all the time! Didn't early on, too calorie dense and didn't agree with me, but as I got closer to goal I started. I have half of one or a whole one almost daily!
  9. I have a cool scale that wirelessly syncs to my My Fitness Pal app so my record keeping is done automatically every time I step on the scale! I'm not organized enough to do it myself

    Halloween challenge

    Down to 143
  11. Flying squirrel!!!! Ha ha, sadly WAY too accurate LOL
  12. Sigh Been doing ALL those things except the massage and essential oils, and yet after 125lbs at age 45 I have tons of loose skin. Especially the weight training and exercise. Even did the Gelatin. I think there is a lot of age/heredity involved (I scar badly too, lucky me). Hate to think how bad the skin would be if I wasn't doing anything

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Did your dr say it would be a whole month after gallbladder surgery before you could exercise? That sounds really long. My gallbladder surgery was super easy and I felt great immediately afterwards.
  14. You're a guy a most likely a lot taller than me! 145 is likely too low for you!
  15. Me? 126lbs. From 271 to 145
  16. I had trouble like you...try adding a second (or even third) protein drink a day. Replace some of your water with it. I had to do two up until about six months and at 10+ months I still have to do one a day.

    Spider

    Yes vanity. I scar badly.
  18. I am 10+ months out. My dr wants me to be at 1200 calories a day, but I can rarely eat that. 1000 is my personal goal and I make that most days and have lost consistently. Now switching to maintenance...that should be interesting! Early on in puréed I was about 400-500 and then 700-800 on solids. I can't get everything in with three meals a day and no Snacks, never could. My doctor is fine with that, his goal never was to be only three meals, he advocated three meals two snacks and for me they are all the same size.
  19. Here's my graph. My Fitness Pal does it for you if you keep a log!
  20. But yes it's totally normal. Anything from a 10lb gain to a 20lb loss is pretty much normal. We are all different!
  21. Ok guys lets put this in perspective... When's the last time you lost 5-7lbs in a week?????

    Spider

Single incision through the belly button with a tool that opens up inside and looks like a spider. I would totally have done it if my dr offered it!

    Why is Bread so Bad?

all this bread talk got to me! Had a small slice of WW bread (the kind I get has 11 carbs, 6 protein) to make a small sandwich at about 3pm today. Now four hours later it's still like a rock in my stomach and I am 10+ months out!

Too skinny; how do you define it?

I could have written your post!!! I am between 5'6" & 5'7" depending on who measures me and I am 145lbs. Size 6 consistently with a few size 4's here and there. My Dr has never set a goal weight for me he says my body will find a new homeostasis and will settle when I get there. My PCP said I was fine and could go down to 140 and he'd be fine with that. He'd be fine at less but thinks then I might look gaunt. But my family??? They were telling me I was too skinny 10lbs ago! They complain they see my bones (they never complain about seeing my 16yr old daughter's bones). My husband (who worried all the time when I was too heavy but has never complimented my weight loss) now says I need to gain 10lbs. Here's what I think. I am strong. I do yoga 3x a week and ran a half marathon a week ago. I am solidly in the middle of my recommended BMi range. My loss is slowing, maybe stopping, my body seems "happy" here. My doctors are fine with where I am. I think I'm good! Hey, I can always gain a few lbs back, I know how to do that LOL
