Ok what's a macchiato upside down? Sounds like something I would like LOL

    Personal trainer

Weight training and exercise will help fill out the loose skin, but won't do anything truly about the skin itself. Genetics is a huge part and time helps (mine is much less than it used to be). But the more you lost and the longer you were overweight the more the elasticity will be gone and there is nothing to bring that back.

    Starbucks

I use it as a coffee creamer and make my own lattes! You just reminded me I need to buy some more!

    Starbucks

I like to add the NF milk for protein ????

    Syntrax Protein

Of the nectars I like iced tea and roadside lemonade but the matrix line is my favorite--PB Cookie, mint cookie, choc, vanilla.

Instead of bread what to do?

Also if you are far enough out... Veggies. Thin slices cucumber makes a great "cracker" as does eggplant. You can dry out eggplant in a dehydrator or a low temp oven to make an awesome cracker.

Instead of bread what to do?

A spoon! Seriously, that's what I do with tuna/egg salad. And yogert. I do occasion make a dip with yogert and PB2 and dip apples (peeled if you are less than 3 months out. You don't need the carbs. If you are simply asking because of tolerance and not nutrition, crispy is better than doughy. So pita not so much but crackers yes. The gluten has to be broken down through toasting, that is the part that is hard to tolerate.

What percent of stomach was taken?

I can tell you bougie size but have no idea what % that translates to

    Excerise

I started the couch to 5k program and app about 5 weeks out. Ran my first half marathon a month ago after 9 months building up. I also do Vinyasa Yoga a few times a week and body pump type weight training and the occasional Pilates class.

Double tall nonfat dry cappuccino ????
  11. I've done a lot of research and trial and error for what works for me...I do believe that Caesin is as important for my success as Whey Isolate. It's what bodybuilders use for a "slow burn" as someone said in another thread, and it keeps me satiated much longer. Collagen? I'll pass. But Whey concentrate and Caesin and among those recommended by my doctor and I have had great success with them. On top of that, Whey Isolate alone often makes me nauseous, so a blend works best for me. But I am NOT a medical professional. You chose your Dr because you trust their medical opinion. I defer to your doctor. However, I suggest you ask specifically about the particular product you are interested in and bring a copy of the nutrition label (you can find it on Amazon or GNC or Vitamin Shoppe online to print out) rather than just accepting a blanket "nothing but Whey Isolate" statement.

    Protein

Also that brand is thicker/sweeter than some others. The Syntrax Nectar and the Isopure ready to drink bottles are thinner more like a punch than a shake. Also the GNC Lean 25 is a bit lighter.

    Protein

If it's too rich and sweet for you add some more liquid, but yes, they tend to be that way. The colder you make them the less they feel thick/rich/sweet. You can even blend them in the blender with ice or frozen berries to cut the sweet.
  14. I think you may have unrealistic expectations. Starting at 214 you will lose slower than those who weighed more. And look at what you've lost!!! You have lost a quarter of your body weight! Honesty many on this board would be happy with 160. How tall are you? If your ideal weight is 120 then that's 94 lbs. most surgeons are happy and consider it a success if you lose 60% of that which in your case is 56lbs. You are almost there. And think of the health benefits you have already gotten! The closer you get to goal the slower and harder it is. Please look at how far you've come and the change in your life you've made! Yea you can lose more, you do have to work for it harder though. But you are really doing quite well!

    Protein

I don't know who you are asking, but my goal is 75g protein a day thought whatever combination. I typically do 1-2 shakes a day (I did two when I was as far out as you). One scoop per shake and 8-12 oz water or milk depending on my preference that day.

    Protein

I posted some other good choices on your other post...I mix these with 8-12 oz of 1% milk or water: Syntrax Matrix (choc, PB cookie, vanilla, mint cookie) BSN Syntha 6 (I especially like Mocaccino) And then I mix these with water: Syntrax nectar Iced Tea and Roadside Lemonade. I get them at GNC or Vitamin Shoppe or on Amazon online. I think they will keep you from losing lean body mass and will keep you satisfied and less hungry. I think you have actually done quite well weight loss wise. You started at a lower weight than a lot of people and many would be thrilled to get to 160's. Remember that losing 60% of excess body weight is considered a success. So if you were 100lbs overweight if you lost 60 that would be a success. How tall are you? If you started at 214 and your ideal weight was say 130 then you would have 84lbs to lose so a loss of 50lbs would be considered a success.
  17. Different things work for different people. I am probably more what you expect... I am almost a year out and in maintenance but haven't had bread, Pasta or rice since pre op for the most part (tried rice once and about three slices of bread total). If I have carbs they are incidental from fruit, grains like flax, dairy, coconut flour, nuts etc. I am impressed by those of you who can rate enough meat at a time to get 20-30g of Protein in a meal! I can do two thick slices of lunch meat (maybe three on rare occasion), three or four shrimp, or 2 ounces of turkey/fish/chicken/meat. I use a lot of shakes and Protein Bars to get my protein in. For the original poster... I like syntax matrix (PB cookie, vanilla, choc, mint cookie & vanilla) I mix one scoop with 8-16oz Water or 1% milk. Same with BSN Styntha-6 (Moccacino is my favorite!) I also like syntax nectar in Iced Tea and Roadside Lemonade (mix with 10oz water). I also LOVE Quest Bars for protein. I get all of my protein at GNC, The Vitamin Shoppe or on Amazon ???? I weighed 271 on the day of surgery. I am now 139 almost a year later.

    Snack ideas?

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback! I was wondering if one of the cheaper units would produce decent results for a trial run... Sounds like one will!
  19. Loss of padding combined with poor posture from the years of carrying the extra weight. Chiropractor and strengthening exercises helped me. PLUS re learning how to sit properly. More on the "sitz" bones if you will, than the end of the butt. Tilt your pelvis a bit to preserve the lumbar curve and you will relieve the pressure on the end of your spine and be sitting in proper alignment.

    Clothes after surgery

Get a dress clip (or in a pinch a mitten clip will work) they were big in the 80's and I got mine off Amazon. You can cinch in the back of a dress or blouse or even a t shirt and it looks flattering and you can wear it for a couple more sizes down! And Goodwill!!! I was reluctant to try it and now it's my new addiction! Top brands for $3-7! Some still with tags.
  21. You will get a mixed response on this one, so ask your doctor, but mine says no.

    Snack ideas?

Do you mind sharing which brand/model you got? Been wanting to get one but want one that works well and not sure how much $ I have to spend to get a good one!

    Snack ideas?

Deprived but much healthier! Our kids don't need that junk!

    Snack ideas?

Step AWAY from the Oreos! Lol...okay I have no issue with anyone eating one (or two) seriously... But if the entered my house I would have a very hard time only eating one (or two). I would eat one (or two) a couple times a day till they were all gone! I admire those of you who can do that!

    Pain Meds?

Good luck! They should be able to find something. I mean the IV Tylenol has no sugar. You can at least have that in the hospital! Keep us posted on what they say!
