5'9 women what was your goal weight?

Ok. Your original wording still sounds to me like you think ribs showing isn't sexy so thanks for clarifying ???? I wasn't taking offense to her post I was confused as to why having surgery to get healthy was ironic! I thought it was the primary reason for most of us. Now I understand she was being tongue in cheek. Tone is very hard to read on the Internet, I just ask questions to clarify. No one offended me, that pretty hard to do ????
  2. My snacks and meals are pretty much identical! Who's to say turkey and cheese roll ups or a greek yogert or shrimp with avocado or the insides of a chicken taco are a meal or a snack? I can't eat enough as a "meal" to not need snacks.

You may not like your ribs showing and I totally understand and support you on that... But let's not judge whether it's "sexy" or not across the board. Having been judged on our weight/attractiveness in the past let's not do it ourselves. I'm not as tall as y'all (5'6") and I do agree body composition (fat, muscle, bone) has a lot to do with it. My body def chose it's own goal weight! I can't stay above 140 or go below 135 without a lot of effort. I do a lot of exercise (yoga, half marathon last weekend and training for a full in May). 18% body fat and my ribs show. I don't think that makes me not sexy. Why is that ironic? I would hope that was most everyone's primary goal!

Signed up for my first Olympic triathlon

Have done a sprint tri and was signed up for a March oly but had to drop down to the sprint bc I had wrist surgery and will only be out of my cast/brace for 3 weeks and they aren't even sure j should be doing that--physical therapist will give me the go ahead (or not) in early March. Good luck to everyone on their Tri!

    What irritates your sleeve?

I had a horrible time with eggs for like six months. Still can't do rice over a year out
  8. I've sampled a lot through them and found some of my faves that way! I still like to order some that way for ones I like but don't want a whole tub of... Good for on the go and to keep in the car too!

    The Surgery and Muscle

You may lose some at first for all the reasons mentioned, but at more than a year out my muscle mass is actually greater. I run and do yoga several times a week and eat 80-100g protein a day and my body fat % is 18.
  10. Oh and I also like the new quest unflavored to add into things. First one I can stand
  11. I can't stand any ready made except Atkins and I don't like its stats so k save it for coffee creamer and emergencies. I love the Syntrax matrix line (esp Peanut Butter cookie) and the BSN Syntha 6 (esp the mochaccino and orange cream)
  12. My local Vitamin Shoppe did it for me once but said they aren't supposed to for "flavored" protein powders for what it's worth
  13. Ok Still try the Jay Robb egg protein, no milk products at all
  14. It's probably more than lactose intolerance then bc whey contains no lactose. Try the Jay Robb ones with egg protein!

    Non-Morphine Pain Meds....concerns

Oral TYLENOL has never worked for me so I was very skeptical of IV but it's amazing. It's new and very expensive but worked wonders

    Easter's Challenge

Hmmm looking at all you 136'ers aiming for 130 maybe I will too! That's just where I am now too
  19. I think it's not all for vanity tho... It's partially bc we've needed fewer of the smaller sizes (humans have just gotten bigger not fat, taller and bigger bones) and more sized added at the other end as the population has added more obese.
  20. Yup! It's weird bc some things are still sized that way like uniforms. My sister is a paramedic and typically wears an 8/10 but her uniform is a 14!
  21. I wore a 12 in middle school and am a 4 now. It's achievable!

    Before and After Pics

I don't know if you were asking me but I do, a lot. I run half marathons and do triathlons. Run 20+ miles a week and do yoga about three times a week. I have never been athletic and never ran or did yoga pre WLS but love it now
