And to the original question---LOVE my arm lift!!! Rocking a spaghetti strap top right now
-
Depends on your frame size and build (and how much you had left to start with). As you say you have an athletic build so that comes in to play. I have 300cc and no one believes me I have a DDD cup (even DH who has seen them up close and personal). I have a narrow build and rib cage.
-
Don't forget cup size is relative too--I run 20+ miles a week with my DDD's they aren't nearly as big as you'd think because my band size is 32. They are proportional to my frame and that's what is important as far as "getting in the way" goes lol
-
Wow! I had to have them done at the doc too, this is a super option! But they are tricky to apply. The nurse had to scrap a few over my eight week series of treatments and there's no way I could have applied the arm ones myself. The abdominal ones maybe.
-
I am a big fan of finding a doc you trust and then trusting your doc so if they say 300 & 340 they probably know what they are talking about. BUT it depends on the brand. I got Mentor silicone implants and they came in other sizes. My doc said 300, 325 or 350 would be what he would use for me. They literally put sizers in while you are under, sit you up and look to see how they fit and then decide based on aesthetics. I loved the pics I had seen so trusted his judgement and wound up with 300cc. I think they are perfect for my proportions. I do at times wish they were a bit smaller because I am a hard to find bra size (32DDD) but they are in perfect proportion to my build.

For the physically active sleevers...
jess9395 replied to HopeandAgony's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
As for the original question--I've always hated exercise. I liked volleyball in high school but that's about it. I was even in the pack of girls waking in the back of the PE class when everyone was running. I hated exercise most of the way through my couch to 5k and then my mile a day challenge j set for myself soon after. Somewhere about six or seven months into running I started to like it. Now 22 months countless 5 & 10k's a dozen half marathons half a dozen long distance relays and a full marathon later I love it! Yoga took me about three months to like and six to love. -

If you are exercising a lot and building muscle 80g is bare minimum. Try working up to 100g and see how you feel. I run 20+ miles a week (depending on what I am training for) and do yoga 3-4x a week and get 100-110g a day at 135lbs. There are formulas (Google is your friend) that tell you how many grams of protein per lb of body weight. It's tough and I still supplement with protein drinks at almost two years out but the extra protein makes a big difference! -
Definitely get fitted at a running store. I rotate between Hoka One Ones, Muzunos and Aisics, Brooks don't fit my feet right, everyone is different!

Post Tummy Tuck and Cancun? Swelling.... Pics Included
jess9395 replied to srahjean's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I guess it totally depends. My swelling was long gone by six weeks out and I had TT, Breast aug/lift and brachioplasty all at the same time. Done in June and I couldn't imagine still being swollen. -
Just another perspective on buffets--for me the value isn't in the quantity anymore but the variety. As it stands I can never order more than a single appetizer item at a restaurant or (more often) split a meal with someone. At a buffet I can try a bite of six different things! To me there is value in variety now. I have only done it a few times, but I have enjoyed it those few times for that aspect

It's spelled Syntrax if you're going to google it. And yes their Syntrax nectar come in thinner less shake like flavors, many people on here like them a lol.

Looked at smoothie King website and they are all super high in carbs. Even the lean and slim-n-trim and Greek yogurt and high Protein and "shredder" ones. The one with the least carbs (vanilla Shredder) has 30g carbs and 12g sugar. The Greek yogurt ones have over 60g sugar. The one that might be ok is the Gladiator IF you have it with no fruit: http://www.smoothieking.com/menu/smoothies/fitness-blends/gladiator It's 180 calories with 45g of protein and no carbs. Use the link above to see how the macros change with adding fruit. I would stay far away from most of these during the loss phase. Even being in maintenance I would stay away except for when I have a race coming up--I'm a distance runner. Way too much sugar and carbs.
-
Depends on what's in the smoothie. Many of them are full of fruit/sugar/carbs (like Jamba Juice and that type). Those really shouldn't be part of your diet. If you want to make your own with protein powder and Greek yogurt and ice, sure why not!

Not feeling well at all
jess9395 replied to buzzly36's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The weakness doesn't last forever. My energy started to return about two weeks post op. I am almost two years out and have more energy than I've had since I was a kid and I'm 46! -
Did I have surgery and become a negative person or is it just hormones?
jess9395 replied to jenlovestim's topic in The Gals' Room
Others have pretty much covered It all, but wanted to add another things at play is when you lose fat a lot of estrogen is released because it is stored in fat and that can trigger emotional responses as well. -
I went through a period where I literally didn't recognize my reflection when I would catch it out of the corner of my eye.

I grill all the time! Chicken skewers tonight!

LOVE LOVE roasted veggies! I'm lucky I can do a lot for the family and just eat my small serving. Not sure I would bother if it was just for me. I subscribe to a harvest basket weekly so it's whatever they deliver and encourages me to try new ones! I typically toss them in olive oil and sprinkle a seasoning mix-- trader joes everyday seasoning is a favorite and Mrs dash has some good ones. I often throw in whole garlic cloves and or shallots. Roast at 375 till veggies are golden brown and starting to crisp at edges. Often I will toss with goat cheese and/or balsamic glaze (also from trader joes) when they are done. Brussel sprouts, mushrooms and shallots is my latest favorite. Root veggies are always good. I avoid the potatoes myself but the family eats them.

Like others have said there aren't many nevers. You can most likely eat it if you use moderation and include it after you've eaten your required protein, etc. I happen to have a mildly picky sleeve, though, and can't tolerate corn very well, it upsets my stomach along with rice and a few other things.

No candy yesterday! One Syntrax PB cookie shake today and a protein hot chocolate. Now for my iced coffee while the kids eat their Panera! Still debating on whether butternut squash soup counts!
