Oh and one more story for tonight and then I'm hitting the sheets. The other night I was taking a shower and I was soaping up and all of a sudden I felt another hand behind my back touch my other hand. Well when I turned around and realized that there was no one else in the bathroom with me I did it again and realized that it was my own hands touching behind my back. I started laughing so hard at myself that my husband came running in from the living room to see what on earth was going on. When I told him he just looked at me like I was off of my rocker. Lol. Granted these are just small things that we take for granted on a day to day basis but damn it sure does feel great when you can overcome those obstacles. Let's keep up the great work ladies and gents!!

What is the name of that movie with Adam Sandler and the little kid? Another clue is the kid loves Scuba Steve. And when they are taking the kid away from Adam in a particular scene in the movie the kid starts screaming out BUT I CAN WIPE MY OWN ASS. I CAN WIPE MY OWN ASS! Sometimes I have to giggle when I am on the toilet and say to myself BUT I CAN WIPE MY OWN ASS! Lol. Not only do I giggle about that while on the toilet, I still find myself getting the giggles about the atomic fart bombs that are still erupting. I'm surprised that my bathroom is still standing. Lol.

I am going to agree with AmyC123 on this. This was my misunderstanding that started all the bickering on here. I have said my peace and said my apologies. Let's just let it go and move on.

Also the other night my husband and I went out on a "date". We got in the restaurant and all that they had available was booths. I just smiled like I always did and said that it would be just fine all the while I was cringing inside because of the fear of wedging myself in the seat and still trying to look comfortable. Lol. But low and behold I just slid right in and I wasn't touching anything. I was speechless. I could even put my purse in my lap. It was an amazing moment!

I did the same thing the other day. It just happened all on it's own while I was waiting on the park bench for my husband and children. I felt so much like a lady. I can't even tell you the last time I crossed my legs naturally without having to grab my ankle and put my leg there and pray about how long I could leave it like that. Lol. Whoot whoot right back at you sista!

Well I would like to apologize for jumping the gun. I have had to defend myself so to say in the past. I usually am in a very positive mood. For some reason I just felt like you were pointing a finger at me instead of rejoicing with me which is what I expected so maybe that is why I snapped back. It must have just rubbed me the wrong way at that moment. What I said is true. This site is for us. For us to motivate one another and lean on one another for support. We are all here for the same reason. Again sorry for the attitude.

What's up? Isn't this site designed for us to bare our souls, our goals, our frustrations, and our progress. I have never hidden the fact that I have had other surgeries before I was converted to RNY in December. I have posted several times my ordeals that I went through and all the complications that I endured during the time from September to December. I have been honest with everyone since I joined the December thread that it was okay with them that I was even on this thread. I have major medical problems just like many others that have had their surgery. I have Fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, adrenal insufficiency, and immune deficiency to just name a few of the big ones. I am still dealing with those issues today. They are slightly better but not much. If anything they were all stirred up up after each of the surgeries that I couldn't get out of the bed for weeks. I was a ticking time bomb with my health. I truly believe that if I wouldn't have had the surgery when I did that I would not be here today! Now am I asking for a pitty party. Hell no! I am a nurse and I worked 60+ hours a week as a charge nurse of a private surgery center. Unfortunately I was taken out of work in June by my doctors because they were scared for my health. But hopefully one day I will start to feel even better as more of this weight comes off that I can return to the job that I love. I know that many of you on this thread also have major medical issues as well. And I know for fact that everyone on this thread has a weight problem. That's how we all got to where we are know. We have all tried crazy diet after crazy diet with some success here and there but nothing long term or you wouldn't be on this site. This site is for positive people with positive feedback. We can say things on here and everyone knows exactly what we are talking about instead of trying to explain it to someone who doesn't understand because they are not going through it. I don't care if you post on here that you lost one pound or if you lost 50 pounds. I am going to congratulate you and say keep up the good work. We have all fought the weight loss battle for many years and that's why we are joined together on this site. I will admit that the battle is a lot easier with having the RNY but none the less that has still been a battle. I don't know about you but it sure has helped me in my battle to have all the feedback from different people. I would much rather go into a battle with an army on my side instead of being the one that wants to point a finger and be alone, jealous, or bitter. I'm just doing the best I can with the tools that the doctors gave me and I will always be available for positive feedback with a positive attitude. Thanks!

Thank you@

Thank you so much! It has been a rough journey. Most of the weight loss has been since the bypass. I still have a hard time excepting the fact that I have lost that much weight. When I look in the mirror I still just see me@

Ok my December peeps! It is official. I have reached the 100lb mark! I'm so excited!
-
Noooo. I have lost 100lbs since September. I was sleeved in September and I had a lot of complications afterwards. Had another surgery in October. Then did the sleeve to RNY conversion in early December. But the majority of the weight loss has been since December 10th was my RNY. You are doing great. Keep up the good work. I feel as long as our scales keep moving downwards we are all doing a good job.

I guess it could be a matter of choice. Of course if you incorporate carbs in you will not have the faster weight loss like if you mainly stuck to more proteins fruits and veggies. But it is a quick and easy meal to grab to bring to work and it could help due to portion control. Everyone is different. Everything that they say is not a "cookie cutter" for everyone. I eat what I want. I eat what agrees with my new pouch. I try to eat mainly proteins veggies and fruit but some days that doesn't happen. I was sleeved in September and had major complications afterwards so then I was converted to RNY in December. I have lost right at about 100lbs now. I think the main thing I have taken from this site is that we are not all the same. What I have also learned is that not all of the docs are the same about their post op diet plans. I say do what makes you happy.

You can actually put the Miralax in any type of liquid hot or cold. It will not change the taste or consistency. It really does help.

Same here. Sleeved in September. Hernia repair in October. Sleeve to RNY conversion in early December. My skin and hair are extremely dry. They said that it is a direct result of not getting in enough fluids and protein. My hairdresser said the same thing. Right now she has me doing an overnight conditioning treatment for my hair every two weeks. As far as my skin, I just use oils in the tub and good olé cocoa butter every night all over. I also treat myself to a bath ball from a store around here called Lush. They specialize in bath products. The one I get is called the butterball. It will definitely butter you up. If you don't have a store nearby they also have an online store. It really is wonderful. It is reassuring to know that I am not the only one.
