In addition, I usually add a chopped hard boiled egg to mine (adds more protein), dill weed (I like the flavor) and salt is not needed (canned tuna has plenty of salt).

OMGEEEEEEEEEEE This waiting for approval is TORTURE!
SandeeD replied to SandeeD's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Weeks ago I cleaned out my kitchen cupboards, freezer and fridge and I have most of my supplies already (i.e. broth, protein powders, tea, etc.). I only shop for small amounts of food at a time, don't want to waste anything. I'm so ready and Wednesday can't come soon enough! My surgeon doesn't give a surgery date until I receive approval from insurance, but I'm not waiting on his insurance coordinator, I'm following up with the insurance company myself (cutting out the middle man! lol). -

Join the club Honey, I was diagnosed back in October at the beginning of my journey. My surgeon prescribed me a med. that cost $500. I didn't have any prescription coverage at the time, so he basically prescribed 3 meds. that had all of the ingredients to treat it...2 antibiotics and Omerazole (Prilosec), the cost was about $130. I had to take about 8 pills a day for 10 days. Because I had C-Diff (like colitis) before (hospitalized for 5 days), I had to start taking a probiotic a few days before, 2 each day during, and for a few days after I finished the round of meds. I can definitely tell the difference. Definitely take everyone's advice and take the probiotic with it.

Curvy, I'm quite a bit older than you so I'm sure my style is probably a bit more conservative:) There were some cute dresses on that website. Another store that I like is http://www.catofashions.com/. I don't know where you're located, but they do have stores all over and you can order online. Hope that was helpful:) -

Two-Week Final Preparations, 'Grim' Question
SandeeD replied to MadB's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My will and advance directive are locked in a fireproof lock box in my house and my best friend/attorney has a copy as well. I have a copy of my advance directive ready in my notebook to go with me to the hospital. My mother knows my wishes, but when I told her she kind of changed the subject and didn't want to talk about it. It's in writing, signed by me. They know that I'm a very strong willed person and will (hopefully) respect my wishes. OR, I will come back and haunt them:) -

Sassy, the most important thing is DO NOT GIVE UP. Just keep pushing. No one has told you no, so you keep moving forward and keep a positive attitude. -

Do you have any other health (weight related) issues? Like high blood pressure, asthma, osteoporosis, high cholesterol, etc. The lower height definitely helps. For the longest I thought I was 5'3 1/2" but it turns out that I'm 5'2 1/2". Don't worry, it's going to work out. -

You look fab lady! I especially like the last pic. with the black pants. I hope I'm able to keep the roundness of my booty like you seem to have done! No offense, I'm just being real. I like the shape of my butt, I hope it doesn't deflate like a balloon! lol -
Is it just me, or does it seem like the closer I get to being sleeved the crappier I feel? Maybe it's the weather? I don't know, but I think I have the winter blues...body aches more than usual, funky mood, no energy. I can't wait to get my new companion Sleavadiva:) Yes, that will be her name.

I braved the arctic weather and finished up my last few pre-op appointments today and I am ready for the next step, submitting to insurance for approval. I'm kinda getting excited...a little...lol
