    Coffee?

I never stopped having mine with powder cream and splenda...of course I could only hold one cup! I only have 2 now...a few hours apart usually.

    Any have this problem

Yes...it is very common after weight loss surgery to have to have your gallbladder removed. Mine was full of stones after an 80 lb weight loss..

    Baggy or fitted?

Check out the thrift stores...I didn't have much luck there...but I did get some jeans and shirts on clearance at wal mart. Heck I still do. Now that I can wear clothes that aren't plus size...I rack up on clearance!!! Don't buy but a few things at a time...you will not be in them long. I had one pair of jeans and one pair of dress pants and a few blouses....Best to all of you!!

I would not consider YOU a successful WLS patient!

RJ...you have been an inspiration to me! We each have our own journey and unfortunately yours has been a rough one. I appreciate the experience and insight you offer to all. I have lost most of my faith in the medial community...I hate it...but it's currently how I feel. You are needed and wanted here!! You are a sucess story...don't let ANYONE bring you down. You are alive and here....not sure about you but I am not sure I could have said that with the weight still on. You WILL get control of the health issues!! Take care girl and thank you for being here!!

    Carbonated drinks?

I haven't has any soda since my surgery in October of 13. I have known people that have...those same people have stretched their sleeve back out and have gained some if not all of their weight back. I would suggest laying them down for good. Best wishes to you!

How do you guys eat out...

I am on the go alot and eat out. I typically eat the inside of a hamburger or taco for fast food. I wll eat off my husband or one of my kids plates or just bring home leftovers from a meal if we go to a sit down restaurant. I still do not eat bread, Pasta, tortillas- they make me uncomfortable. Otherwise, I just eat a few bites till I am full. Food really is not a big deal to me anymore so I don't really put much time into worrying about it. Best to all!!

How Did You Do Thanksgiving Day? Share Your Story

My family and I went camping for Thanksgiving! It was great! I prepared turkey, stuffing, sweet peas, corn, and lemon ice box pie. I had a bit of everything and we went for a hike afterwards. I was surprised when I got home with a two pound weight loss! Still loving the sleeve!!

    What would you do?

I say "go for it"...you will be glad you did and never look back! It is so nice to really not "worry" about what will be served for Thanksgiving. My family and I will be camping and I will eat a few bites of whatever....lol Love my sleeve!!
  15. One year ago today, I was having my gastric sleeve surgery done. Today I am down 125 pounds since the surgery! My life has changed so much for the better. I am so glad I made the decision I did. My doctor claims I added 20 years to my life! No more meds for me!

Anyone want to be fat again?

Absolutely not! And believe me...Im almost 50 and once weighed 385...I have much skin! But nothing control top panty hose and a good bra can't handle! I went to give blood yesterday and my blood pressure was 119/72 with no meds! I had been on blood pressure meds since I was 18 years old! I went to the beach this year with my family..I wore a one piece and swim shorts and had a ball!! Spent most of my time in the ocean with my kids on a raft...I haven't been able to do that in years!! I wear a size 18 now...almost a 16 and I am thrilled about it! I once wore a 36 pant! And I feel great!! So I say again...absolutely not! I took and still take Biotin for the hair issue...I have a head full again! Also, I take 3 stool softeners a day...you can get them at Sam's for under $10 I believe...problem solved. I wish you the best and pray that you become comfortable with the new you!

    Not feeling well

Not sure if you can stomach this but sugar free gatoraide/poweraid helped me in the beginning. It was tough back then but no regrets! You will feel better...I promise!! Take care!!

    What are you telling people?

For me, honesty has been my policy. I tell everyone! I remember thinking back years ago when Star Jones had her weight loss surgery but wouldn't admit it...she knew she had it and everybody else did too! She just looked crazy with the "eating right and exercising" line. People who I work with, went to school with and so on know I have been big my entire life. I have absolutely zero problem telling them I had the sleeve and many ask me about the procedure. Hey...maybe I've helped someone!!
