Hi, My name is Theresa. I am S/P sleeve from 12/23 and lost 70lbs so far. It's nice to see this site is available for single people who've had this surgery. It's difficult to date but especially hard after you've had WLS/ I don't know if my profile pic is upside down. For some reason I couldn't fix it. lol

Hi, I am just starting my journey to health and weight loss. I have my first appointment on Tuesday and I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I've been heavy all my life. Losing weight has been a struggle for me my whole life. Lost some, gained more!!! I also know depression has played a part in my weight. I have never been as big as I am now at 305lbs. I've always been overweight-Obese and now I'm morbidly obese, which is really taking a toll on my life and emotional health. I gained an extreme amount of weight, over 125lbs, and started drinking heavy during the years of my abusive marriage. It's been 4 years since my divorce and I've become a hermit in my own home and all I do is work, eat and watch TV. I'm glad I at least got the drinking under control but the eating is another thing. I'll be 46 years old on 10/10 and feel like my life is drifting by. Failure also plays a big part in my nervousness and apprehension with this journey but I am ready to do this for myself. I need to give myself a healthy life. I've been reading posts on here for about a month and really enjoy reading everyone's experience and I enjoy seeing the support from everyone on this message board. I'm looking forward to be one of those that receives support as well as give support during this journey of unchartered territory. Thank you for reading Theresa
